If I’m performing every exercise… who’s really watching the students? 👀 Retraining in classical Pilates completely changed how I cue. I use a clear setup and bone-based cues to give students a system for where, when, and how their body should be placed. ✨ This frees me up to actually see my students — to spot what needs adjusting, and decide whether a verbal, tactile, or visual cue will help them find better form and alignment. Of course, if someone’s a visual learner, I’ll hop back on the mat to demonstrate. But most of the time, you’ll find me moving around the space, guiding them. 💫 🧠 When I mentor newer Pilates teachers, I always set this goal: 📝 Get off the mat as much as possible. 📝 Be with your students, not just performing.
