***Update : Adoption Closed*** Last week we have posted a story of rehoming a beagle, We haven’t been able to find a suitable home yet for Coco! She is still looking for her forever home! Coco is a little over 8 months old, She is a female Beagle, up to date on all her vaccinations! Due to certain reasons the family has dropped her to us for rehoming, she is fully healthy and fit for adoption! She will be SPAYED before rehoming, hence the adoption can take a while. Coco is very friendly and playful with adults as well as children. She loves to cuddle and is well socialised with other doggos so the families looking to adopt a second child, she would be a good fit. She isn’t very good with Cats, Hence she cannot be adopted into homes with cats. Beagles are high energetic dogs, they have their set of needs and do come with some surprises. From what we have observed with coco, is that she is a sweet child, but she does need some behavioural training. She isn’t fully litter trained so a good amount of efforts would be need to teach her a lot of basics. we expect the families or individuals reaching out should have prior experience with Animals considering her behaviour or be 100% committed to work on her with a CB in case needed! Most people often look down on adopting adult dogs with the thought that, puppies look ‘cute’, puppies are ‘easy to train’, puppies are ‘small’ so can be managed well. But Sorry to burst this out to you, but Managing pups is 2x difficult than managing an Adult dog! Imagine handling a new born child, You need to give them attention all day, hand feed them, New teething, Be on the top of vaccination tracking, lots of cleaning and everything from level 0. Same goes with Puppies! Constant care, attention, litter training, skill training and everything included! Most of the pet parents give up during this initial few months as the efforts are too huge and most of the parents have no time to deal with all this. Puppy phase is the most crucial phase to help them grow into a well behaved adult dogs. But due to lack of time and patience, All these are ignored or over looked, And then we often hear complaints that their dog is not well behaved! *When Adult dog Adoption is posted, We hardly receive any applications as most assume that they don’t fit in homes easily, that’s totally a misconception!* Adults dogs/senior dogs are the best fit into homes once their behaviour is understood! They need less attention, toilet trained, well behaved (Most of ‘em are), Limited Vet visits, Calmer temperament, more receptive to new training, better manners than younger pups! All you need to do is meet and evaluate them well before Adoption! On this Note, wholetthepawsout_ is trying their best in finding a forever home to Kaju who is now 9 months old.
