Recently It’s been a while 😂 I haven’t had much occasion to put on makeup or perfume and it was nice to do so a little while ago. Just a light touch of everything. Wore the new biologique_recherche_kl Skin Tint Serum which is a light foundation. I wasn’t sure about it at first but I’ve worn it a few times and it’s grown on me. It offers light and little coverage but at the same time, it’s just enough. The concealer was a surprise as well. Again, unassuming but effective. A nice departure from the It Cosmetics concealer I used to use before this as this is much more moisturising. My brows these days are always done with the Kate brow pencil. This one’s the dual ended one that has a flat pencil at one end and a powder at the other. I don’t use the powder much and would prefer a brush. The new chanel.beauty No. 5 l’eau drop, with its beautifully crafted glass bottle shaped like a drop turns fragrance packaging on its head. Here you have a bottle that cannot stand on your dresser, but fits beautifully in the palm of your hand. Once you’re done, it would make a beautiful paperweight 😂 The scent is lighter than the usual No. 5, with sweet citrus that makes it a more wearable fragrance for day time, or for active lifestyles. It helps me mask the eau de chien anyway 😆 It’s been quite a time for me. Biologique Recherche Serum Teinte & Eye Care Concealer Been so long since I’ve been out but it was a fun afternoon with biologique_recherche_malaysia and makeupbyumminasir to discover the new tinted serum and eye concealer. The Tinted Serum has its base in skincare, being a top most protection for the skin with antioxidants and a light tint. Coverage is light and it sheers out on skin to blend in beautifully. I take shade 2C which looks a little pink but works well for me. Shade 1 worked as well but looks too warm. It will set on skin to a glowy finish and promises to give your skin a healthy glow, so it looks like you just better! Available in 10 shades with 4 currently available in Malaysia. The Eye Care Concealer has a thicker texture but offers medium coverage which is buildable. It not only offers coverage but also offers skincare treatment to the eye area. Available in 3 shades. Both the skin tint and eye concealer are available at the Ambassade Biologique Recherche KL at Starhill Gallery. Learnt a few makeup tips and had a lovely time away from the kitchen. No fancy professional shots - my camera ran out of battery and was rushing off to work 😅 but I’ll have some better photos on the blog over the weekend. When a new year means new makeup (finally!) 😆 The chanel.beauty Les Beiges Winter Glow blushes caught my eye and they’re incredibly pretty to look at and to use. A pressed powder blush, it’s semi sheer which I’ve learnt to enjoy as it means you can put it on semi-blind without ending up with splotches on the cheeks 😂 mirror space is always at a premium when you’re not at home. 4 years today with this one. Most those white hairs were put in by him 😅 We’ve battled a dog fight, doggy depression, identified a luxating patella, healed from a savage dog attack, started a business, bought 283748 leashes & harnesses 😅, and gone on numerous adventures daily because he can’t stay home. Here’s to a new year 😊 I’ve written something on the blog (finally, I know!) it’s been quite a year for me - and it’s quite literally flown by. I’m incredibly thankful for the growth of the business, even as it’s taken up all my waking hours. We have big plans and loads of fun and challenging ideas and we’re looking forward to all that next year. Fun times! 😊 I do intend to keep up with my writing so that’s something I’ll have to make time for and put some effort into. So I’m not going anywhere - yet 😁 Incredibly thankful also for the people I’ve met over the year, and for the friends I’ve made and reconnected with. Sometimes you have to hang around with younger people because they have huge ideas and a huge zest for life; other times you need the grounding influence of your peers. Natura Ekos Encounters with the Amazon RM390 A nice way to sample some of Natura’s bestselling bath & body products. COFFEE ASMR Ok last one 😅 I tried some forestcloudbev drip coffee bags at recommendations from some of you. It’s a coffee roaster up in Penang. I’m no connoisseur but I have to say the coffee taken black was quite nice for me. Not too acidic nor too harsh. Nice robust flavour and the beans smelled really fresh! They came freshly roasted so it took a few more days than usual to arrive which I appreciated. The smell when you tear open the bag is a true wake me up in the morning. Drip Coffee is useful for if you want something without the hassle. I do find it makes a lighter coffee, maybe because it’s just hot water over grounds without any added pressure to extract the flavour. But it’s great for travel or for a quick cup if you would rather not have instant or don’t want to faff about with machines but want to have ground coffee. The pup & I celebrating birthdays within weeks of each other 😁 Kiddo turns 4 and celebrated with specially made doggy burgers & fries. I got him in early Jan 2020 so he’s only been with me less than 4 years but it’s been incredible to see how he’s grown (or not), and how he’s slowly mellowed with age (or not!). He’s still that crazy rambunctious puppy who terrorises other dogs, begging them to play and barking at them when they don’t. He’s a greedy fella who makes me think I’m the greatest chef in the world (in the dog world maybe!) and he still gets crazy eyes when excited. But I’ve also found more white hair around his eyes and he sleeps in more and later now. He doesn’t even get up early enough to jump onto the bed as he used to 😔 4 years is practically adulthood in doggy years and I’m thankful that we have the opportunity to spend lots of time together even if I bemoan having to bring him everywhere I go. Milestone! ☺️ We just started retailing our dog treats quandogtreats at our first offline outpost!
