By the way, after 25 days on the road, I looked nothing less than a zombie. And honestly, staying in this hotel only added to that horror vibe . Here’s the story of the reel. While returning from our Ladakh ride, on the way from Kasol towards Delhi, we decided to stop at a hotel in the evening. We were completely exhausted, and since we were traveling with Bella, we thought it would be best to rest at a place we found along the way. That place was called Hotel Punjab Residency. But honestly, this turned out to be the worst travel experience of my life. What you saw in the video was only a glimpse of it—the real issue was that Bella was not allowed inside. Eventually, after paying extra, we were permitted to stay, but the entire experience was absolutely terrible. The rooms themselves were in horrible condition. There were seepages all over the walls, and when we tried to sleep at night, we kept hearing strange noises inside the room. Bella would suddenly wake up and start barking, which broke my sleep every single time. Still, since we were so exhausted, we somehow managed to sleep, without even caring about where those noises were coming from. The next morning, as you must have seen in the reel, the balcony looked even worse—plants growing wildly, broken bottles lying around, cigarette butts scattered everywhere, and even beetles crawling on the floor. Inside the rooms, the condition was no better. The windowpanes were broken, there was dampness and seepage everywhere, and each room carried a different foul smell. Garbage was lying around across the property, and everything looked dirty and neglected. While we were riding from Hanle to Nyoma, we came across our friend Ms. Ralte, who was stranded alone in the desert due to a breakdown. We pushed his bike all the way to the newly built tarmac road. Just then, a construction supervisor showed up and began threatening us, questioning how we could bring the bike onto the new road. We explained to him that what truly mattered was helping a rider stranded alone in the middle of the desert, not arguing about whether the bike should be on the road—especially when we could already see trucks moving on it. A long argument followed. Eventually, he admitted his mistake and left. In the end, two men came to our rescue.
