- My top 5 TIPS for a small bathroom This is the guest bathroom and it is only 2.53 x 2.51m. It feels and looks a lot bigger thanks to a few design decisions. It also doubles as a steam room. 1 XL TILES Use XL tiles for less grout lines. I’ve used 120cm x 120 cm These are mitred to create the illusion of blocks of marble and avoid tile trims, which can break the flow 2 MINIMALIST TRANSPARENT GLASS Chase into the floor to encourage the flow from inside the shower to outside. Keep it transparent to keep the flow. 3 FLOAT - wall mount everything Taps and dispenser bottles - free up counter space Vanity and bench Toilet 4 LARGE MIRRORS Always expands the room visually and bounces light 5 PAINT COLOURS Lighter colours - reflect light, enhance natural light and create a sense of airiness Extra tip UNDER FLOOR HEATING No radiator means more wall space and more visual space. Niches create depth and give an opportunity to store / display things. I’ve created a wetroom to maintain the flow. #smallbathroomdesign #bathroomrenovation #wetroom #steamroom #luxurybathroom #marblebathroom #periodhome lighting design for small bathrooms, wall mounted toilet, Victorian terrace, period home.
- At long last the FULL HOUSE TOUR (minus the guest bedroom) that has been requested on so many occasions. There’s an even longer version. Thanks for taking the time to watch this. This year will be 14 years in this house. Is it my forever home? It’s definitely my now home. I’ve given it so much love over the years that I feel it’s where my heart is. Hope you’re having a great BH weekend. Shot by homeinspireuk #homeiswheretheheartis❤️ #periodhome #interiorideas #housetour #propertytour #interiorsesign #interiorstyling #interiordesıgnideas
- My NEW top 3 tips for creating a continuous flow in your home 🏡 This month marks 14 years in this home. It was never the plan. I had no plan, but with every little change, I fall more in love with it. I don’t follow trends but instead keep things classic, modern and simple. It is a neutral home with added colour through art. FLOORING I’ve used the same bespoke oak floor throughout downstairs, in a unique colour created by the team woodcraft_flooring and me. This tone of floor continues outside where it changes to composite decking in a similar shade by millboard_live_life_outside It makes the space feel like one continuous space. FABRICS / UPHOLSTERY It helps that I’ve chosen all my fabrics from romo_fabrics Try not to go overboard with matching everything but instead choose fabrics that tie in with each other from the colour palette. Introduce textures too. I’ve used piping on the outdoor furniture but not on the dining chairs. Instead I’ve just added two piped cushions. I have also only added piping to two chairs in the living room, tying it all together. The furniture set up in the living room mirrors the set up in the garden. Do the same for your stone surfaces. Choose stones from a similar palette. It adds interest. WALL COLOUR There are 4 different wall colours downstairs but they all blend into each other. There’s a subtle change as you move from room to room. Four colours because the natural light and lighting are different in each room. I wanted the space to feel consistently warm and welcoming. You can section your areas using rugs but try to stay within the colour palette. By rendering the garden wall to the same height I’ve managed to bring the inside outside. #openplanliving #neutraldecor #victorianterrace #periodhome #interiordesign #neutralhome Shot by homeinspireuk
