Measuring help see what’s really going on, instead of just relying solely on a scale can offer a more comprehensive and accurate picture of your health and body composition for several reasons:

1. Body Composition Awareness: Measurements focus on specific body parts (waist, hips, arms, etc.), allowing you to assess changes in muscle versus fat. A scale does not differentiate between weight from fat, muscle, water, or bone.
2. Muscle Gain vs. Fat Loss: If you’re exercising, especially strength training, you may gain muscle while losing fat. The scale might not reflect this positive change, whereas measuring can show reductions in size.
3. Motivation: Tracking measurements can be more motivating as you might see changes in inches even if the scale doesn’t move. This positive reinforcement can encourage you to stay committed to your goals.
4. Fluid Retention: Weight can fluctuate due to fluid retention or loss, influenced by diet, activity level, or hormonal changes. Measurements are more stable indicators that reflect long-term progress.
5. Personalization: Everyone’s body is different. Measurements account for individual differences in body shape and size, making it easier to set personalized goals that align with your unique body composition.

CHICKEN CUTLET TOPPED WITH CESAR SALAD.

• 8 oz boneless, skinless chicken breast – sliced thin (2 pieces) add 2 more for husband.
• 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (normal or GF)
• ¼ cup freshly & finely grated parmesan cheese
• ½ tsp Italian seasoning
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp pepper
• ½ cup all-purpose flour OR almond flour (normal or GF)
• 1 large egg
• 1 tbsp water
• 5 tbsp oil
• primalkitchenfoods CEASAR DRESSING 
• 2 head of romaine Lettuce – washed & chopped.
 
Add panko breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, kosher salt & black pepper to one of the shallow bowls, and stir to combine. In another shallow bowl, add the flour and more kosher salt & black pepper, and stir to combine. In the last shallow bowl, add the egg, water and a bit of kosher salt. Whisk until combined.
 
• Dredge both sides of the chicken in the flour mixture first, then in the egg, letting excess drip off, and finally in the panko breadcrumbs. Press down on the top of the chicken to help the breadcrumbs stick. Set aside and repeat with the other piece of chicken.
• Add oil to a large pan and bring up to medium-high heat. Add in chicken cutlet and then reduce heat down to medium. Cook for 3 minutes, or until golden, then flip and continue cooking for 3-5 more minutes, or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165F.
• In a small bowl, mix primalkitchenfoods Caesar dressing, romaine and Parm cheese toss to combine
• Assemble with the chicken cutlet on bottom and half of the Caesar salad on top. Garnish with more grated parmesan and black pepper.
