Francie (franciebrooklyn) is a Michelin-starred brasserie in the heart of Williamsburg, born from the first independent collaboration between Chef-Owner Christopher Cipollone chefcipollone (Piora, Cotogna) and Owner-Operator John Winterman johnwinterman (Bâtard, Daniel). 🍽️

Opened in December 2020 after much anticipation, Francie sits inside a limestone-clad former bank building on Broadway & Bedford, offering a warm, welcoming space designed by Glen Coben. 🧀 The menu blends European flavors with flexibility—from the Market Salad to Pappardelle with Duck Bolognese to the signature Crown Roast of Duck for Two—all complemented by modern desserts and the famous Cheese Cart. 🦆

With its open kitchen as the heart of the dining room, Francie combines neighborhood charm with fine dining finesse—and a new concept next door is set to debut in Fall 2025.

BabySips (babysips.nyc ) is the brainchild of David Wilson and Zoe Clifton, who first met while working in the kitchen at Cosme before moving into the front-of-house world and diving deep into wine. 🍷 Their journey eventually took them to Catalonia, collaborating with winemakers Xavi and Andreu Padró Mon of LaRural, and even crafting a cuvée of their own.

What started as an idea to connect all these experiences has become BabySips, a self-described “working glass wine bar” where every bottle tells a story. It’s a place rooted in exploration, craft, and the joy of sharing wine with the community. 🥂

HOM Cafe & Wine (homcafeandwine ) is a new Park Slope hangout that shifts effortlessly from day to night. ☕🍷 Founded by Aaron Hung, this Asian café and wine bar brings together all-day dim sum, specialty coffee, pastries, and a global wine list under one roof. 🥖

By day, guests can pop in for fresh pastries, coffee, and light bites; by evening, the space transforms into a wine bar, with bottles and pours paired with dim sum, skewers, salads, and shareable plates. 🍢 The menu reflects the partners’ Chinese, Thai, and Indonesian roots, with “hom” meaning “fragrant” in Thai — a nod to both coffee and wine as essential inspirations. ☀️

Doppelgänger (doppelganger_bar_nyc) opened in 2025, founded by NYC beer industry veterans Will Huebner (gruner_magliner) and Billybob Archer (billybobsmells ) 🍻. Out back, a large garden hosts weekly guest chef pop-ups, adding a fresh culinary twist to the bar’s lineup. 👨‍🍳 And for a bit of fun, there’s crokinole, a tabletop shuffleboard-style game popular upstate, bringing a friendly edge to the laid-back vibe.✨

With its mix of craft drinks, rotating food collabs, and a welcoming atmosphere, Doppelgänger is designed for both casual nights out and anyone serious about their beer.

Chateau Royale (chateauroyalenyc ) is the new French dining destination from Cody Pruitt codycpruitt (Libertine) and Jacob Cohen jacobcohen99 (dell’anima, Libertine). 🇫🇷 Located in a restored historic carriage house, this two-story restaurant channels the golden age of New York French dining, blending mid-century Midtown opulence with the smoky glamour of downtown in the 1980s. 🍽️

The menu celebrates French classics with a modern polish, bringing back the indulgence and theatricality that defined an era of fine dining in NYC. Designed by Cody Pruitt himself, the 82-seat space feels cinematic, with thoughtful details across both floors that set the stage for evenings of decadence and timeless hospitality.🍷

BUBA Bureka (bubabureka) is the first NYC shop fully dedicated to the bureka —the beloved flaky pastry found across the Mediterranean and Middle East. 🥟✨ Open in Greenwich Village, the spot reimagines this classic with inventive fillings and sides that bring something new to an old tradition.

On the menu, guests will find Potato Burekas with Dutch potatoes and caramelized onions, a sweet-savory Corn Bureka with butter and sea salt, a trio-cheese Bureka with gouda, feta, and ricotta, and a Spinach Artichoke Bureka inspired by the American dip. Each comes with tahini, pickles, and a hard-boiled egg, while seasonal specials and chef collabs keep things fresh. 🌽🧀

The concept was created by a powerhouse team: Chef Ben Siman-Tov (bengingi )—the social media–famous chef and baker with over 1.7M followers—alongside Gadi Peleg, founder of Breads Bakery, and Fritz Oleshansky. What started as a casual coffee shop conversation turned into a collaboration rooted in food, music, and hospitality. 👨‍🍳🍽️
