If you’ve been around since our last apartment, you’ll know our “living room” was a tiny room at the end of our apartment (technically a second bedroom). I love that I’ve been able to use bits we already had for his room! We had wood and paint left over from other projects which I used for the shelves… and the brackets, rug, changing table, ottoman, mirror, wall lamp and some accessories were all from our old apartment which work so well in here! The Alfie’s Room sign is the perfect finishing touch and melts my heart- a lovely gift from hattiekolp ! Alfie Patrick Brady 🩵 🦢 He arrived on the 24th of July at 1:50pm! 5 days early- today was his due date! And he’s so perfect🥹!!! I can’t believe he’s mine, I cry at how much I love him! Everything went amazingly and we were out of the hospital the next afternoon. Our first night home felt so strange for me, Martin was as cool as a cucumber, I was full of worry. But since that first night it’s been complete bliss…he’s had visitors, we’ve been out on walks, running errands all together is so exciting- it’s a big day out and we fight over who gets to push the stroller (so we take turns lol!) 😂. We named him Alfie because Martin and I met and worked in a bar called Alfie’s!!! I always thought if we ever had a baby and it was a boy, we just had to call him Alfie! We finally got a sofa that fits this space much better! I went for the Dominick sofa from westelm in Performance Coastal Linen in Alabaster with a bench seat! It’s simple, timeless and classic and I love it so much! I tested out a few in my local West Elm store and loved the firmness and how deep this one was. I think this was our first time staying in a 5 star hotel and it didn’t disappoint, thelowellhotel 🤩💛. We enjoyed a gorgeous dinner at their restaurant, majorelleny and breakfast the next day in their elegant Pembroke Room. The Lowell Hotel is located just off Madison Avenue, the dreamiest location to stroll around and admire historic buildings on the UES, and Central Park. I’ve had a busy few weeks trying to get organized and the nursery decorated before baby boy comes, so it was nice to have a luxurious and relaxing night away, even if it was just across the park lol.
