It’s our silver anniversary today ! mattmax ❤️ That’s 25 years - which sounds like an age… & yet it’s whistled by! We were in a whirlwind getting ready for the big day—Angelica was just one and a half, I was working at Channel 5, and life was total chaos—but somehow we pulled together a beautiful service at St Mary’s of the Angels in Notting Hill, and a fun reception at Leighton House - it poured with rain, a sign of luck apparently and one which proved true ❤️❤️ Celebrating this life moment on a Monday isn’t the best day for it … so we are having a roof top swim at White City house followed by breakfast! Yesterday’s Notting Hill Carnival highlights! 🎉 We live just up the road from #nottinghill, so we hosted a pre-party brunch for friends (cassmaxw invited his gang too!). First stop was some pics of the party crew in our brand new garden studio — we’ve just upcycled our very sad old garden room into a photographic space - since we all seem to be working in social media and AI now 🙃). 📍Renovations were done by shackadelic_ltd a brilliant local business 💯 Once the pics were done, we wandered down the hill into the carnival madness… rum punch, sunshine, street dancing and that unbeatable buzz. When you’ve been home a couple of weeks and start wondering if the holiday was actually a dream… Well yes, it did happen — it was incredible - & if you’re thinking of going to Antigua - save this post for inspiration — these are the things you won’t want to miss! We had just a few drops of rain, the beaches were blissfully quiet, and there’s luxury hotel bargains to be nabbed! Swimming with stingrays – this was the most unforgettable experience, gliding alongside these gentle creatures in crystal-clear turquoise water. 2. Playing Pickleball! Such a fun and game (think table tennis meets tennis) – its huge in the USA and if any of you are fans or want to learn, Hammock Cove has the most courts in Antigua. 3. 365 beaches to explore – yes that many!! Think golden stretches of sand & crystal, warm waters! 4. Rum cocktails day & night – punchy sundowners to night caps - it’s iconic Caribbean . 🍹 5.
