The 3 Gs to Daily Happiness 

1. GRATITUDE 

•Each morning or night, write down (or mentally note) 3 things you’re grateful for—big or small.

If I had to choose I’m going free weights! 
However, each one has a reason for doing them

💪🏾Calisthenics for me is the foundation. You can do them anywhere & you should be able to move your body weight a various ways. This will help with the other modalities. 

🏋🏾Free weights are great for building functional strength. Throughout life you’ll have to pick up, push, & move things. Free weights allow you to do more compound movements working multiple joints and muscle groups at the same time. 

⚙️ Machines are great for isolating muscles. I like hitting new machines that can challenge muscles from different angles. That may be harder to do with calisthenics and free weights.

For the record, I do believe in balance. I also believe you NEED to do whatever is necessary to get yourself out of any situation you feel uncomfortable being in. 

If it’s for your finances, that means no spending on things that are miscellaneous. 

If it’s for fitness or your health, that means sticking to the meal plan 7 days a week. That means staying active, stretching and sticking to your fitness routine even on holidays, birthdays and Sundays!

If you’re really uncomfortable about your weight or your health is in jeopardy you’ll do something about it. Otherwise you’ll keep looking for “balance” and making excuses.

It’s been a rough 2 weeks but I’m back able to return to my normal routine, with some slight modifications 🙌🏾

No one is above rest and recovery. Not even the trainer!
Just like what I tell my clients, I have to prioritize my sleep, nutrition and recovery methods in between my workouts and long work days.

If you’re also trying to heal from an injury, whether new or old here’s my plan of action I’m starting:

1. Controlled warmups! No matter which muscle group I’m working.

2. Better sleep routine & more rest between hard workouts and long days. 

3. Physical Therapy. If your constantly re-injuring an area or not healing on your own it’s time to see a professional. 

4. Ice/Cryotherapy. I haven’t been doing this as much but I’ll definitely add it right after hard workouts followed up with a heat pack. 2025-06-24 02:50:27 I.. 39 -74% 2 -88%

You start mentioning anything about Ozempic or GLP1 and everyone gets all butthurt!

Let’s clear the air whether your on a GLP1, Semiglutide PEDS or NOT you still have to do these 3 things:

1. Adherence: What’s going to get you to stick to your plan long term? Find your WHY. 

2. Fitness Plan: 3 days minimum of strength training. 
At least 7,500-10k steps per day. (This is non negotiable unless you want to do 30-45mins of cardio daily)

3. Nutrition Plan: Eat least 2-3 meals a day. Depending on your starting weight vs. goal weight will determine how much of a calorie deficit you should be in. Start 4-5oz of Protein per meal, 1cup of Carbohydrates & 1 cup of Veggies per meal. Adjust according to your energy output and how you’re feeling.

Most people rather blame their hormones, their age and their busy job for why they gained and can’t lose weight. 

The truth is, you can lose weight by sticking to the basics. 

If I wanted to lose weight as fast as possible and I was just starting my fitness journey here’s what I’d do: 

- Get 6-8hrs of sleep every night 
- Eat fruit for breakfast & veggies at every meal
- Walk 10k steps a day
- Strength train 3 days a week
- Eat 2-3 balanced meals a day that included a lean protein source, vegetables and carbohydrate source with 1-2 of those meals.
