NEW CLASS ALERT – BELLS & BODY

This Thursday at 6 PM, we’re launching a class that blends kettlebell fundamentals with Animal Flow drills.

What makes it different?
We’ll be using competition kettlebells! They may look heavier because they’re bigger, but the ones we’ll use are light. Their size actually gives you a better grip and more surface to work with, making them ideal for creating kettlebell flow sequences and moving with control.

Hardstyle kettlebells, on the other hand, are designed for heavier lifts and that’s not what this class is about. Bells and Body is about building skill, movement quality, and flow.

This setup allows you to:
Sharpen your kettlebell fundamentals

Flow seamlessly through dynamic sequences

Superset kettlebell work with Animal Flow drills to become a stronger, more adaptable mover

While visiting my mom in Winterville, I finally decided to check in to check out championshealthandfitness. This was one of those gyms I’ve known about for a while, but I usually end up at another spot nearby. 

This time I made the stop, and I’m glad I did!

The gym gave me everything I needed for a Powerful session. It has a wide variety of equipment, including heavy lifting and strongman-style gear, and honestly, it felt like training in a college athletic facility with the amount of options available.

The pricing also stood out: $15 for a day pass, $40 for a weekly pass, and only $35 a month for members. 

Now I understand why my mom keeps memberships at both gyms in the area. Each one offers something different, and this one clearly brings a lot of value.

My Fitcation Recap in Denver: 

I touched down in Denver with one thing on my mind, movement. The anticipation was high, knowing I’d be stepping into the annual International Animal Flow Day celebrations.

Moving is a gift, and being surrounded by a community of friends who share that same passion? That’s my favorite part of any trip. Every chance I get to travel and move feels like the best version of a vacation.

This time, Denver was more than just Animal Flow it was also about growth. I dove into a two-day Functional Kettlebell Workshop, where I explored new ways to manipulate and move the bell like an athlete. The experience pushed me, challenged me, and reminded me that movement is infinite.

Between connecting with friends, flowing on the ground, and training with the bell, this trip wasn’t just about fitness, it was about feeling alive, present, and grateful for the journey.

Denver, you gave me a true fit vacation. Until next time.

Yesterday I had the chance to take part in the annual Grae Wellness picnic and it was nothing short of powerful. The vibe? Wellness enthusiasts and fitness pros from all walks of life, simply sharing what we love to do. No egos, no stages, just community.

In the clip I’m sharing here, we flowed through part 2 of the International Animal Flow Day sequence. My brothers Vaughn and Quincy jumped right in after a quick review. This wasn’t a class it was pure exchange.

Vaughn, who shared some powerful self-defense techniques, reminded us how movement can also mean protection and self-preservation. 

Quincy, the OG of NYC calisthenics, dropped handstand gems that I know will level up my own practice.

Earlier this week, I had the absolute joy of moving with my fellow Animal Flow instructor and fitness pro, coach_albis . There’s an unspoken energy when another Animal Flow coach steps into the room the connection, the creativity, and that shared language of movement is something special.

There’s NO such thing as Balance in life….

People talk a lot about “finding balance.”
Here’s the truth I share with my clients: balance doesn’t really exist.

Life is a constant juggle. You give time and energy to one thing… then you toss it up and focus on another. Sometimes the momentum keeps going, sometimes you pause it, but you never lose the skill entirely.

That’s exactly how my kettlebell juggling journey has been.

I discovered it in 2021 and got hooked! The flips, the spins, the behind-the-back catches. But then I paused that momentum to pour into my Animal Flow practice.

Over the months and years, I’d pick the bell back up here and there, just enough to keep the connection alive.

Today, I dove back in. And it reminded me:

➡️ You don’t have to do everything all the time.

➡️ You just have to keep tossing the things you love back into your life when the moment’s right.

Movement is my way of practicing that.
Kettlebell juggling is the literal version. Life is the bigger game.
