Downsizing to mini play couches meant I had to rely more on creativity to make up for what the toy couldn’t do on its own. But that’s what freed the play—it became bigger, more inventive, and different every time. We used notch blocks for a slide and a Mario tunnel. Stacked them with cushions, pillows, and futons to create epic crash pads and slopes of adventure. The Nugget was great, but it didn’t push us to explore like this. 
Toys are great. But creativity is even better.
