A dream come true moment! I've always been in awe of Vaishali S Couture's breathtaking designs, and to be dressed in one of her stunning creations was truly a surreal experience. Vaishali S's intricate wire work and exquisite fabrics are a testament to her passion and craftsmanship, and I felt like royalty wearing her art. The journey to getting ready was chaotic, to say the least! 😅 With a hectic schedule , as i had such a big event at my own store and a tight deadline, my team and I were racing against time to bring my vision to life. My team sprang into action, and we managed to find the wire from a local electrical shop. Securing it onto my head with pliers and wire cutters was a task in itself, but the end result was worth it! 15 LaBubus & A Childhood I’m Trying to Unlearn !! It started with one LaBubu. A soft, silly little toy that’s making rage all over the world right now. My daughter spotted it, looked at me with those wide eyes, and asked, “Mama, can I please get just one? I hesitated…. Not because of the price. Not because of the trend. But because somewhere deep down, something old in me stirred — something I hadn’t even realized I was still carrying, a generational curse. When I was growing up, wanting something — especially something frivolous or fun — came with conditions. Good grades. Good behavior. High achievement. You had to earn your joy. You had to be perfect to be rewarded.No one ever said it directly — but it was always understood. And so, without realizing it, I learned to suppress my desires, to perform for love, to equate gifts with worthiness. So there I was, standing in that mall, looking at my daughter — who was asking for something simply because it brought her joy. Not because she scored well. Not because she was “good today.” Just because her little heart wanted it. And I said yes. Then another. And another. Until there were 15 LaBubus dancing off her bag — and her face lit up like the sun. People in the mall kept turning to admire her, but what I was really admiring was this version of childhood: free, unapologetic, unburdened. I realized in that moment: I don’t want to raise a child who performs for affection. I want to raise a child who knows she is loved, wanted, and celebrated simply for being. She doesn’t need to earn her joy. She doesn’t have to prove her worth. She doesn’t have to be a monkey dancing for a treat. Just had a wake-up call after my exciting tiger encounter in Tiger Reserve Phuket 😱 Initially, I was thrilled to meet these majestic creatures with my daughter, and we had a wonderful experience. But a disturbing video surfaced right after our trip showing a tiger attacking a human who got too close for a photo op 🤯.
