Festivals feel extra special when I celebrate them with my little ones 💛✨

From decorating the house to sharing sweets together - these small rituals make the biggest memories.

And some traditions, like enjoying parsi_dairy_farm pure mithai, are timeless. This year, their modaks brought back that same authentic taste I grew up with… now made sweeter because I get to share it with my kids. 💫

Because festivals aren’t just about celebration — they’re about passing on purity, love, and traditions. 🌸

Breastfeeding has been such a big part of my life. I fed both my kids for 2 years and have supported so many moms as a lactation counsellor. 💜
It was beautiful, but tough… especially stepping out.

That’s why the Gift of Freedom event by Philips Avent this World Breastfeeding Week moved me so much. with the new hands-free breast pump, it felt iconic.

Moms deserve freedom. Moms deserve choice. Moms deserve this🌸

Every Saturday, this was our ritual.
I’d drop Yuvraaj to football class, then Aarna, my mom and I would head to the beach beside the school. We would buy grains from a man sitting there, and feed pigeons together. After class, Yuvraaj would join us too. It felt wholesome, like a family tradition.

But I was wrong. What I thought was “fun” was actually dangerous.

👉 The pigeon population in India has shot up by 150% in just 23 years.
👉 They’re called “flying rats” because they carry diseases just like rats.
👉 In Mumbai, cases of pigeon-related lung disease have gone up 5X.

One of them is Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis—a lung condition that causes irreversible damage. Add to that fungal infections, asthma triggers, even heart problems.

And the worst part?
We are the reason. By feeding them, we’ve made them dependent. No hunting, no struggle—just easy food and rapid breeding.

So much so that:
✔️ BMC is considering controlled pigeon-feeding zones
✔️ Fines are already in place in Mumbai & Pune
✔️ Doctors everywhere are warning families to stay away

This isn’t about faith vs. science.
This is about our children’s health vs. our habits.

As a mom, I had to wake up. Feeding pigeons wasn’t bonding time—it was exposing my kids to invisible danger. And that’s not a risk I’m willing to take.

So here’s my request to every parent reading this:
❌ Stop feeding pigeons.
📢 Talk about it with your kids.
💪 Share this post—because awareness is the first step to protecting our families.

A small shift in tradition today could save countless lives tomorrow.

Do you feed pigeons? Did you know the dangers?

If I’m ever not around and my kids complain they had a boring childhood… please show them this!! 😂🌧️

Red alert due to extreme rainfall in Mumbai = no physical school. Instead of sulking indoors, we stepped out barefoot, got drenched, and danced like nobody was watching. The squeals, the giggles, the pure joy—this is what childhood (and motherhood) should feel like. ❤️

And then came the moments that melted me—Yuvraaj wrote “I love you mom” on the foggy glass of the shower panel, and Aarna whispered “I have the best mom ever.” Core memories unlocked - for both them and me ✨

So tell me… when was the last time YOU danced in the rain? 🌧️💃

(Also, my neighbours now officially think I’ve lost it… and I’m okay with that 😅)

In the endless hustle of motherhood, I had honestly forgotten what I enjoy. Between school runs, kids’ classes, sleepless nights and to-do lists, the badminton racket was packed away somewhere, forgotten, gathering dust.

Yesterday, our team won the CBBL Badminton Tournament. 12 teams, 170 players, 300+ people watching. And the clinching game? That was ours. The one that got us the trophy. 🏆 The one that will get us a chance to play with Badminton player Lakshya Sen.

For me, it felt so much more than a game.
Like an achievement.
Like I matter.
Like I can actually do it.

I had only played badminton briefly years ago. Nothing serious. But I really enjoyed it. Then came kids, life, and responsibilities. This year, I signed up without thinking much. Honestly, I didn’t even know if I’d last a full match, but I kept showing up. Practice after practice. Match after match. Even with a sprained foot. Even if it meant learning by observing others.

And yesterday, with my kids sitting there watching me — I realised…

🔹It’s never too late to start.
🔹It’s never too late to fall and rise again.
🔹Consistency matters more than perfection.
🔹And sometimes, just showing up is victory in itself.

Yes, the trophy is special. But the real win? My kids saw their mom doing something just for herself — sweating, fighting, falling, rising — and winning. And maybe, I proved it to myself too. 💜

👉 So here’s my reminder to you: go pick up that long-forgotten hobby, join that class, sign up for that game. Because it’s never too late to start again.

🧡🤍💚 How will our kids truly love India… if they only hear about her stories twice a year?

🇮🇳 Independence Day is celebrated once a year… but we as parents can do something to nurture the love for our country every single day.

So this year, instead of just telling my kids about India’s history and symbols, I’m helping them experience it — through play! 🎲✨

From maps to monuments, culture to trivia — these India-themed board games have us laughing, learning, and discovering our country’s beauty together.

Because love for our nation should start at home… and grow with every little moment we share.

Thinking what to give in kids tiffin this Independence Day? 🧡🤍💚

Here’s your handy list of easy, kid-friendly, and healthy Indian flag–themed snacks (with recipes!) — made without any artificial food colours. Perfect for both little ones and grown-ups!

Yes, Independence Day is here — and these simple, veggie-loaded dishes will help you and your kids get into the patriotic spirit.

You can serve them at a themed party, a play date, or even as fun I-Day breakfast, lunch, or dinner options at home. Don’t forget to SAVE this for later! 🟠⚪🟢

The best part? Many of these are so simple that you can involve your kids in making them — turning cooking into a celebration and a way to honour our nation.

For gatherings, you can also add:

🇮🇳 Salad plate – carrots, radish & cucumber for the tricolour
🇮🇳 Soups – tomato & carrot, corn, and spinach
🇮🇳 Fruit platter – oranges, bananas & kiwis
🇮🇳 Chutneys – tomato, coconut & dhaniya

Sweetest snippets from our Rakhi 2025 ❤️

Photos are just little pockets of time…
but the feelings they hold last forever.

We poured our hearts into making this Rakhi special for them, and I just know that years from now, they’ll look back at these moments and feel the same joy we felt while living them. ✨

With our fantastic five, Rakhi has become one of the highlights of our year! 🥰 And we leave no stone unturned to make it grand.

It’s my absolute favorite festival as a mom — one day dedicated to fanning the love (and occasional truces 😜) between my little Toms & Jerries.

Add the 5 cousins to the mix, and it’s pure magic—a house full of laughter, mischief, and memories we’ll treasure forever. 💛

Here’s a little peek into our Rakhi 2025 celebrations—how was yours?

Every year, I make it a point for the kids to match in outfits, and this time we got the outfits made from paracouture who got the brief just right. From colors to comfort, it was a breeze working with Pooja —she made my vision come alive effortlessly. ✨

I stumbled upon an Instagram ad that said: ‘Let’s make Sister x Sister Rakhi a thing.’ But here’s the thing - my sister and I have been doing it for years!

Growing up, we’d feel a little left out on Rakhi, watching our friends & cousins tie rakhis on their brothers’ wrists. We’d settle for being part of the cousin circle, but deep down, I longed to tie Rakhi to my “own brother” - only on Rakhi day.

My mom sensed it I guess and came up with a solution - that I would tie a rakhi on my sister’s wrist, and just like that, a new tradition was born.

And I was so happy that I didn’t have to depend on a brother to celebrate a festival, because my sister is enough.

As we grew older, this tradition only became more meaningful coz sisterhood is truly a gift, and we should celebrate it.

If you have a sister or a friend like a sister, send her this reel to remind her that she’s enough for you.

And this Rakshabandhan tie Rakhi’s to your brothers, but don’t forget to tie one to your sister too.

Let’s celebrate sisterhood too this Rakhi!

Everyone in our household fell prey to flu one after the other. And then we realized it’s not just us, but everyone’s falling sick.

So if your household isn’t affected yet, try these tips that our school sent to us. This will prevent the spread.

Also consider giving the flu vaccine to your child if you haven’t given it already.

A seasonal flu shot is the single best way to protect against the flu, especially when COVID-19 is still a risk.

A flu vaccine doesn’t guarantee that it will prevent you from getting flu, but studies have shown that it can lessen the severity of the illness if acquired.

While the influenza shot that contains two subtypes of influenza and two lineages of influenza B is widely available in market, it is not a part of the vaccines given under the national immunisation programme.

Dosage? 2 doses are given 1 month apart and then 1 shot yearly.

So do not forget to save this post and share it with others. Also, tell me, would you be taking the flu vaccine for your child?

In March, Brijesh Solanki, a state-level kabaddi player from Uttar Pradesh, rescued a puppy stuck in a drain. In the process, he got bitten. At that time, her didn’t think it was serious - after all it was just a small scratch that hardly made a difference. So, he didn’t get treatment.
A few months later, he died of rabies.

And the saddest part? It could have been completely prevented. Yes, Rabies is 100% preventable if treated BEFORE symptoms appear.

Did you know India records the highest number of rabies deaths in the world?

Over one-third of global deaths from rabies happen here — often because people don’t take small bites or scratches seriously.

As a parent, this hit close to home.

In January, my son was scratched by a pet dog in our society.
In March, it happened again — this time with my daughter. Different dog, same situation.

The dogs were vaccinated. The scratches weren’t deep.

But I still called our pediatrician drpriyapradhan immediately after seeing the wound. And I’m so glad I did.

She said: “Don’t wait. Come in for the anti-rabies vaccine NOW.”

Here’s what I learnt from her:

✔️ Rabies is 100% preventable if treated before symptoms appear
✔️ Even a scratch or a lick on broken skin can transmit the virus
✔️ Once symptoms begin, there’s no cure

Both my kids completed their rabies vaccine course and are doing great.

But this experience made me realise how little most of us actually know.

Here’s what you should do if your child is bitten or scratched — by a pet or stray:
✅ Wash the area with soap and running water for 15 minutes
✅ Apply antiseptic like Betadine
✅ Don’t bandage the wound
✅ See a doctor immediately — even if the animal is vaccinated
✅ Ask about Rabies Immunoglobulin if the bite is near the face/head or from a stray

This post isn’t meant to create fear — but about sharing facts.

Don’t wait and watch. Act fast. That’s what can save a life.

🩺 If you’ve been through something similar, please share. Your story could help someone else.

Would you trek through a slippery forest in pouring rain… just to find magic? 🌿💦

We did — with three kids in tow! And what we found was nothing short of surreal - a secret waterfall, just 1.5 hours drive from Mumbai.
