When you are travelling solo, especially for the first times and to further a field, there is always a butterfly feeling in your belly. Going to the airport might be “same old same old” but when the plane lands - it’s a different story. Here’s my top 3 things to do when travelling solo, even if to another continent, that will help you be more at ease: 1️⃣ Book food tours and walking tours on the first day. São Paulo — I wasn’t ready for how much I’d love this city 😍🇧🇷 Here’s why I’m obsessed: ✨ Best food. Period. - The burrata? Creamy perfection. - The picanha? Juicy and packed with flavor. - The sushi? Honestly, some of the best I’ve had outside Japan.
This city really said: “Italy and Japan, but make it Brazil.” 🌇 Best views. I didn’t expect São Paulo to have sunset spots soooo accessible, but wow. 🥹One of my fave golden hours was from George V rooftop in Alto the Pinheiros neighbourhood. Total worth it! 🛍️ Havaianas heaven. São Paulo has everything, but let’s be real: don’t leave without hitting the official Havaianas store. Go wild. No regrets. I did 😅 Honestly? Another great find for your “to try food places” in London. There are tons of places to eat Indian food in London. But since going to India I have struggled to find authentic flavours unless when in North West London (zone 4-6) until I found cinnamonbazaar_official on Monday! Don’t go to Rio and miss this view 🇧🇷 To be honest all hotels around Capacabana will have a corner that will have this view. But the best part about grandmercurecopacabana is that it’s located in the middle of Copacabana avenue so you have the best view to the left and to the right.
