![Today I’m releasing those false narratives, the parts of me that were never actually parts of me. I’m letting go of the body that was sexualized, that was abused, that I believed was necessary for me to be attractive; to be loved; to be successful; to be happy. And in doing so, I hope I am releasing my daughter Bella from ever feeling those same unhealthy demands.
Now, I want to be clear that many women will find freedom and beauty in choosing their implants. What is a false narrative for me may be the exact right thing for them, and I am so happy that we can all find our femininity and peace on our own terms. I’m also tremendously inspired by women like Michelle Visage who have been open and public about their relationships with their breast implants, making it easier for me and countless others to find our own way.
Today I am loved, I am feminine, I am attractive, and I am successful. None of that is because of my implants. I will still be all of those things when I wake up and they are gone. There is so much and joy in that knowledge and freedom in letting go of what was never me in the first place.
Today, I’m my authentic self. Today, I’m free.

![I didn’t know Malcolm-Jamal Warner well, but like so many of us who grew up on television in the ‘80s and ‘90s, I felt like I did.
He came into our living rooms as a teenager, full of talent and ease, and somehow—amid the chaos and scrutiny of child stardom—he held onto something so rare: grace.
What many didn’t see, or maybe just didn’t celebrate enough, was how deeply multi-dimensional Malcolm was. An Emmy-nominated actor, yes—but also a fierce poet, a socially conscious artist, and a stunningly gifted musician. His Grammy-winning jazz album, Selfless, was layered, thoughtful, and full of heart. Just like him.
Malcolm’s poetry could cut through noise like truth does. His voice—spoken or played—always carried intention. And his activism was never performative; it was steady, rooted, and real. He showed up for the causes that mattered, even when the cameras weren’t on.
He was a quiet giant in our industry. Not loud, not thirsty. Just deeply talented, endlessly creative, and always evolving.
May we remember him not only as a television icon, but as the artist he chose to become once the spotlight faded.
Rest in power, Malcolm. Thank you for showing us how to grow up with integrity, and for reminding us that Black boy joy can become Black man brilliance.

Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it up—not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.
