- A tribute to _jesshurrell ❤️ I’ve not posted on socials for a week and it doesn’t feel right coming back on here and not honouring Jess. I’m sure most of you follow her, but if not, she tragically passed away last weekend after a long battle with cancer. I knew Jess for a long time. We went away on quite a few press trips together over the years and became friends. We had a lot in common - we both liked music, Glastonbury, going to Ibiza, interiors (obvs), and we both had young children, so we always bonded over what was going on with our respective broods. I’ll remember Jess for her infectious smile, how much she loved life, how she was an incredible parent and for how much she adored her family. She was hugely supportive to me during a particularly hard period a few years ago and I’ll forever be grateful to her for that. I feel very privileged that we had a long and enjoyable day together, just the two of us, this summer at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. Jess invited me to go with her and we had a right laugh, taking pictures of each other and looking at the gardens. I saw her briefly again after that, but it sticks in my mind both of us saying as we left that we should definitely do it again together next year. My heart breaks for the Hurrell family and her wide circle of friends. They do not deserve this. SHE did not deserve this. She should have been allowed to watch those kids grow up. I’ll miss you mate. Gold IS a neutral 🫶🏻
- AD. You may remember that when I painted my front door last year, I wasn’t that enamoured by the colour. It was always my plan to change it this summer (it had also accumulated quite a few cracks in that time!) so when I discovered that grahamandbrown offered an exterior eggshell paint in a wide range of colours, I ordered a few peel and stick samples before picking out Turmeric (an exciting yellow hue) for a quick and simple change up to the front of our house. So many of you said last time that I should paint my door yellow, so I took your advice! I love how this rich yellow tone is vibrant and welcoming, and it pairs well with the blue of the entranceway. With high summer being the best time to complete those nagging exterior paint jobs before the season changes, head to the Graham & Brown website to find your perfect exterior paint shade. #grahamandbrown #perfectlypartnered #frontdoordecor #frontdoorwreath #frontdoorsofinstagram #yellowdecor #yellowinspiration #curbappeal
- Morning! I thought I’d share a summer round up with few snaps from August. I can’t believe we are on week four of the school summer holidays already 😦. 1 & 2: my new yellow front door painted in Turmeric by grahamandbrown (previously declared ad). 3: my bathroom in the heat wave sunshine. 4: another summer spent visiting all the theme parks. It’s just been me and Jaxon this school break as my husband’s been away working, but I’ve cherished the mother & son time. 5: outdoor dining. I will miss this courtyard space as we are going to build on it with the kitchen extension. 6: double trouble 7: upcycling this second hand cabinet was meant to be easy, but I can’t get the colour right. I’m about to paint it a third time 🫣🫣🫣 8: I had the pleasure of attending the AW25 madedotcom press show yesterday. So many lovely bits that I’ll post on stories this week. *ad pr event 9: visiting Brighton to see dad play a gig on the beach at the start of summer 10: my favourite pale pink dahlias in a fab homesense_ukie plant pot I picked up recently. 11 & 12: first ever time at sunburyantiques 13: catching up with friends over the summer Have a lovely day everyone x #lifelately #exteriordecor #myperiodhomestyle #yellowdoor #interiordesign #interiordetails #myhomestyle #myhomevibe #myhomethismonth
