Not a lot can change in a day, but changing your day will change a lot.

- plan your diet or you will fall back to convenience - nutrition is fundamental.

- train everyday in some form. If you say you don’t have time, you need to reevaluate your priorities. Walk, run, gym, swim.

Some lessons I’ve learned on my 75 hard journey - day 47 today:

1. Nutrition is fundamental to body composition and I highly recommend you experience what it’s like to eat a healthy diet for 30 days in a row. 

2. Training will have more impact on your mind than your body in the sense that the chemicals released in your brain from exercise will improve your life more than the changes you see in your body. 

3. Recovery is essential to allow you to zoom out and see the bigger picture of what you’re pursuing. Listen to your body but don’t be lazy. 

4. Work builds discipline, not the other way around. You need to work consistently to be disciplined, if you think you’re not disciplined then you don’t want what you’re working on bad enough. The single most underutilised form of training across all cardio disciplines like swimming, running and cycling - is sprinting. 

Going all out and pushing the body to its full capacity for short bursts is super beneficial.

Use it or lose it - and most of you lose it because you stick to 5km runs or 400m swim intervals

But ask most fit people why they keep doing it and sacrifice the cheap dopamine for their body

They will tell you it’s because of how good it makes their body, their mind and their quality of life feel. 

The biggest form of wealth is quality of life

And no matter how rich you are

If you don’t have your health you have nothing

The best combination I’ve experienced for building a lean physique is not long distance running and weights.

It’s Swimming and Strength Training. 🏊‍♂️ 

Breathe work, low impact, fully body, in the sun and in water which causes you to burn more energy. 

Honestly there is nothing that comes close to keeping you lean and mobile while bustling muscle.

Nutrition is the hardest pillar to get right. 

If you want to transform your body then the quality and quantity of food you eat will matter. 

There is no way around it so implement something you can sustain and break your addiction to processed foods.
