Here’s why⬇️⬇️⬇️
If your goal is to optimize workouts for OPTIMAL muscle growth, you want to do compound movements FIRST and accessory or isolation moves, SECOND.
Why? Because compound movements stimulate MORE muscles being worked at once, which means MORE energy output is required. These will be your more exhausting  movements.

Examples of compound movements are:
Barbell squat (activating quads, glutes, hamstrings)
Overhead Press (activating deltoid, triceps, upper chest)
Chest Press (activating upper, mid, lower chest, triceps, arms)
Deadlift (activates quads, hamstrings, glutes, lats, back)
Then you want to follow those movements with movements that
ISOLATE the muscle as these require LESS energy output. If you do accessory work FIRST, you end up too fatigued to perform your max effort in your compounds which contribute the most to muscle growth.

Accessory movement examples are the following:
Bicep curl on cable (activating the biceps)
Leg extension (activating the quadriceps)
Lateral raise (activating the lateral delt)

If your goal is building muscle using the most efficient/optimal approach, do compounds first, accessories second. Also make sure your nutrition is on par because if not, you won’t grow any muscle
