Dharma Kapotasana (Pigeon Pose variation) - no need to force the full pose.

Before we think about clasping the hands behind our head, we can try this:

👉🏾 Bring our foot into the elbow crease.
👉🏾 Let the fingers rest lightly on the shoulder.
👉🏾 Keep the torso facing forward.

This shape already gives us a deep, juicy stretch for the hip flexors, shoulders, and chest. It’s stable, safe, and powerful on its own.

Clasping the hands overhead might look pretty, but it’s not the goal. The goal is to explore where our body is today - with steadiness, breath, and patience. ✨

Start here. Breathe here. Celebrate here. The rest can come in time. 💕😊💪🏽

✨ Imagine… yummy practices, the ocean breeze, nourishing food, time to rest — all waiting for you in Portugal. ✨

While autumn in the UK brings grey skies and chilly winds, Portugal in late October welcomes you with a softer, sunlit climate — the perfect escape. ☀🍂

This retreat is more than a getaway. It’s a space for transformation, connection, and coming back to your inner light.

Only 1 Casita for 2 and 1 single spot in a Casita for 4 remain!
If you’ve been waiting for a sign… this is it. ✨

Reserve your place now before it’s too late — we’d love to welcome you. 💛

Strong legs, open hips, engaged core, and a gaze (Drishti) that centres the mind. Voilà… there you go Virabhadrasana II – Warrior 2🔥😊

What’s to love about this pose:

🌷 It’s simple to get into, but endlessly deep to explore.

🪷Every time I hold it, I notice my body and mind working together thanks to the combination of physical movement and focus

🌻It reminds us that strength isn’t just physical, it’s presence and patience, too.

Bonus points if you feel like you could stare down a dragon with your Drishti today. 😵‍💫😈😜 2025-09-12 21:00:14 .. 43 +19% 4 +18%
Here are some of the reasons why I still practice yoga after so many years…. 🤗🧘🏽‍♀️❤

What are your reasons? ⬇⬇⬇

Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose) – I’ll be honest, it still challenges me. 😛🙈

Whether your hands meet easily behind or back or they feel like distant strangers, this pose is very much about noticing what’s happening in the shoulders, chest, and upper back. It’s about breathing into the tension, allowing a little wiggle. Baby steps, day after day.

Tips that help me:

✨ Keep the top shoulder active, gently pressing down.
✨ Let the bottom hand slide up the back slowly. Don’t worry if fingertips don’t meet.
✨ Use a strap if you need to bridge the gap.

The gentle effort, the stretch, the patience: it’s all part of the practice. 💕🧘🏽‍♀️🌷

This Down Dog Split variation is a celebration of strength, stretch, and sweet release - especially through the hips. It’s not just a pose, it’s a statement: I can take up space. I can explore openness. I can breathe into bold shapes. 🧘🏽‍♀️🌷💪🏽
Here’s how to play with it:

✅ From Downward Dog, float one leg high
✅ Straighten that leg and gently open the hip
✅ Turn rooted heel inwards slightly
✅ Reach same side hand back to hold ankle on the inside
✅ Keep grounding through the standing hand and foot
✅ Let your breath move freely

It might feel weird, initially.

And that’s part of the magic - discovering how much space and possibility lives inside your body when you stop trying to “get it right.”. 💫😊 2025-08-30 20:20:15 .. 30 -17% 1 -71%

Hasta Padangusthasana: where balance, breath, and focus meet.

You grab your big toe. You may reach the leg up, up, and up. ✨ You might wobble, a bit. 🦋 And in between the effort, there’s a flash of grace - a shape that feels like it came from deep inside your bones.

This pose has great benefits. It strengthens your standing leg, opens the hamstrings and hips, builds focus, and steadies the nervous system through breath-led balance. It’s as much about letting go as it is about holding on. 🌷❤
Next time you feel inspired, let Hasta Padangusthasana challenge you. Let it teach you. It may surprise you. 💫🤗 2025-08-22 22:35:14 .. 39 +8% 3 -12%
Handstand check-in. 🤗🤸🏽‍ Flirting with the wall? Still counts. Falling with style? That’s how we learn. Progress is sometimes measured in milliseconds and defo in muscle memory.

How’s your handstand doing today?

Glutes fired 🔥 Hamstrings lengthened 🧵 Spine stretched just right 🌀
This lil flow is the pre-yoga Yoga that your body deserves - warm-ups don’t have to be samey. 😊

They can be short n sweet like this combo that targets those sleepy spots, opening the door to movement, and get your energy flowing before your practice even begins. 🙌🏽🤩

To floor or not to floor? That is the Padottanasana’s question… 😆💫

In your standing wide leg forward fold let the crown of the head reach toward the floor (or just imagine it dramatically doing so😉).
Bend the knees if you need. Use blocks if you like. Play with shifting your weight slightly forward.

Will the top of the head reach the floor today? Or not quite? Or maybe just hover? Explore your relationship with gravity, breath, and release. So, let the pose meet you where you are today. 💕🪷🌷 2025-08-09 01:15:22 .. 36 -1% 1 -71%
I’m kicking off this week with a juicy shoulder stretch that doesn’t play it safe. 😎💪🏽

Start in an all-fours position, then thread one arm underneath for a deep shoulder release and to twist the upper back. Add a lift of the top arm, lift of the same side leg, and voilà you're in the zone of deep core activation, shoulder mobility, and mindful challenge.

This isn’t just a stretch, it’s a full-body YES. 🤗✨ 2025-08-04 18:55:15 .. 32 -12% 4 +18%
Triangles aren’t always sharp. Sometimes they’re a little wonky and perfectly imperfect.

If you feel like playing around with Trikonasana, you can try the variation in the 📷:

🌟 Wrap your top arm behind your back
🪷 Extend your bottom arm parallel to the floor
✨ Engage your core - it’s holding you up
🌻 Breathe 😮‍💨

The reaching-bottom-arm action wakes up your side body. The wrap invites openness in the shoulder, while your core is the steady anchor beneath it all. 😊 2025-07-31 15:55:13 .. 30 -17% 3 -12%
It’s okay not to be okay.

There are days when even breathing feels heavy, and that’s ok, that’s human.
Yoga is about showing up for yourself with honesty. Even if that means not practicing any yoga today. 😊 You don’t have to fix it. You don’t have to smile through it. You don’t have to turn it into a lesson.

Be gentle with yourselves, my dear yogis, and honour wherever you are today. I’m trying to🌹🧘🏽‍♀️❤

In a world that glorifies hustle, progress and doing-the-most, restorative yoga reminds us that doing less can be a skill, an intentional practice and a quiet kind of power. 🧘🏽‍♀️🕉

Don’t try too hard in Ananda Balasana (Happy Baby), let your hips open, your spine soften - your nervous system will thank you.

You don’t need to break a sweat to be doing deep, meaningful work.

💫Rest is productive.
🌿Rest is necessary.
🌺Rest is sacred.

So go ahead: lie on your back, grab your feet, and reconnect with your inner child. Bonus points for sighing loudly. 🤗💚 2025-07-22 17:20:14 .. 25 -31% 1 -71%
Dropbacks. Sometimes they're a YES. 🙌🏽

And sometimes... they're a “not today, thanks.”

A dropback can feel like flying, surrender, strength and freedom. But let’s be honest; it can also feel like nope. Your spine, breath, nervous system, or entire being may just not be there on a given day.

And that’s not failure - that’s wisdom. 😉💕🤗 2025-07-17 23:58:09 .. 45 +24% 1 -71%

“Smiling is a kind of mouth yoga. When we smile, it releases the tension in our face. Others notice it, even strangers, and are likely to smile back. By smiling, we initiate a wonderful chain reaction, touching the joy in anyone we encounter. A smile is an ambassador of goodwill.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Smiling IS a kind of yoga. 😁💕😁

It’s a release.
A connection.
An invitation to others.

Foot grounded. Breath steady. Hamstrings negotiating. Mind trying really hard not to compare your left side to your right. 🤗🤸🏽‍

Don’t worry if your lifted leg isn’t sky-high 🚀 - this isn’t ballet, and no one’s judging. (Except maybe your cat 😅)

✨ Focus on rooting down to rise up.
✨ A little wobble = your body doing the work.

Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand) with leg switches is a great way to work on core strength as well as staying rooted. 🌳💕

To balance in motion, we need a stable foundation, clear focus, and steady breath. The moment we lose connection to the ground, the pose becomes spindly.

Root through the forearms and shoulders. Fiercely engage your core. Move with control. 💫🙌🏽

Switching legs becomes less about flair, more about awareness.

Balance comes from the ground up. 😊⬆🤸🏽‍ 2025-06-30 13:43:16 .. 28 -23% 1 -71%
Pascimottanasana is a pose that invites softening inward, listening closely, and finding space where you didn’t know it existed.

This extraordinary seated forward fold supports digestion, calms the nervous system, stretches the hamstrings and spine, and gently soothes the mind. Sometimes the most powerful movement is a gentle one. 🌺🧘🏽‍♀️

Pascimottanasana reminds us:

🌷You don’t have to push to go deep.

Flying Crow (Eka Pada Bakasana) isn’t about showing off your ninja moves. 😊 It’s about embracing the playful balance of strength, softness in the breath, focus and letting go.💫🤸🏽‍

And yes, it might look like chaos before it looks like a pose. And that’s half the fun. 😁

Trust your hands. Engage your core. Root knee, keep heel to butt. Strongly lift the other leg. Breathe. Surprise yourself.

Because flying is mostly about the courage to leave the ground. 🖤💪🏽🪽

The moment when you rise up from Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose) to standing it’s quite electric. Albeit I was a wee bit quick to come up in this instance! 🤩💕

For me, it’s all about feeling into my strength, to trust my body, and letting instinct lead the way. There’s something powerful about pushing up from the ground and realising I can just keep going. 😊🙌🏽 2025-06-08 21:19:05 .. 55 +52% 3 -12%
