- Four months with my parents felt like four seconds… and I wish I could press pause.🧿 While I made memories with them, here’s what I noticed: In their 60s, every single thought about their kids and grandkids is wrapped in love, fear, and worry. No matter how much we console them, that worry stays — because it’s born out of pure love. In their 60s, no matter how strong they look on the outside, inside they’re fighting their own battle and they are extremely emotional, they’ll hide their emotions and battles, just so we don’t worry. And on the lighter side — no matter how much we try to change their food habits, they’ll always say sweets and fried snacks are what kept them going all their life. That debate? I’ve learned to let it be. Generational differences aside, it’s a blessing to watch our parents face their fears, doubts, and still go out of their way for their kids and grandkids. And If you still have that shelter — your parents — over your head, you are truly blessed. 🧿❤️
