We officially have a kindergartener. I had the best mama break this past weekend with a staycation girls’ trip. A TIME WAS HAD. We laughed, cut up, hugged, shed a few teas and poured into each other. We lifted each other up for real! From Tea Around Town, a slumber party with private bartender, a day at the St Regis Spa and poolside cabana, I came back as one refreshed mama. I’ve learned that taking a break as a mama is one of the best ways to show up as my best as a wife and mom. It doesn’t always mean flying off somewhere. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real. And that moment? I’m so glad I caught it. Y’all!! We have a Pre-K Graduate! Cue the sappy music 🥹 I’m so proud of our little boy but it was also bittersweet knowing that he’s growing up right before my eyes. In August he officially starts elementary school or as he puts it “big boy school with no naps”. Many of his friends have been together since they were 4 months old and they are all going their separate ways. I do believe that many of these friendships will continue to grow as they get older though as his bestie has already made sure to ask me if I will bring Alex to go trick or treating together as usual. 😂 Savoring every minute with my little boy.
