Being a mentor for the Adobe Apprenticeship Program has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far. I had the chance to work closely with lucasparfitt and guiding him through not just the technical side of photography and content creation, but also sharing what it really takes to build a career in this industry. What stood out to me most was his drive and curiosity. It reminded me of when I first started; experimenting, learning, failing, and then trying again until something clicked. Seeing that same hunger in him made me realise how important it is to give back, to pass on the lessons I’ve learned along the way, and to help open doors that weren’t always open for us. One year ago, I made the hardest and best decision of my career. After years of working with some of the world’s biggest brands and celebrities; such as Nike, Facebook, Adidas, Spotify, Canon, Reebok, Stormzy, Lewis Hamilton and collaborating with top agencies, I hit pause. I’ve learned more than I ever expected; about running a space, managing people, dealing with chaos, building partnerships, and staying creative under pressure. And yet, here we are.
