I always tell my brides, it’s not uncommon to have breakouts, blemishes and redness on your wedding day. Most brides do!! And no matter how good you’ll prep your skin - sometimes it’s unavoidable. My top tips would be… 1. If your skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts - go as gentle as you can in the last week before the wedding. Dr Jurt, Kate Somerville, Dr Barbra Sturm - all make great products for sensitive skin. I’m always happy to advise more to my clients. 2. If you have a spot and it’s something you can squeeze- squeeze that sucker out. It’s easier to cover redness than an inflamed white head. 3. TRUST your makeup artist. Having a pro MUA at your wedding is a luxury service. And a professional will KNOW how to cover all your problematic areas, and how to make this cover LAST all day without, I repeat - WITHOUT - looking too heavy. 4. Creat distraction- bridal makeup often emphasises your eyes so no one is actually looking at your (covered) spot. And when you look to people in the eyes - they will always look at your eyes back. 5. Just be confident!!! It’s your wedding day. You’re wearing a gorgeous white dress. Hopefully your hair is made to perfection. There’s food and wine and music. You are not your spot. And your wedding day is about so much more! So.
