Had to repost this due to some pictures not showing up😣 but here is a Ecuador photo dump🇪🇨! I have seen some people doing this trend, so here it is a highlight of my trip to my home country😎! Since I ended up staying longer than expected my dad and I were able to be in Ecuador at the same time so he planned a 5 day trip to a few of our beaches🌴 We slept in Montañita but we did day trips to Olon, Ayampe and Puerto Lopez! I grew up going to the beach every single weekend since my dad is a surfer🌊 In Ecuador we are in the Pacific ocean so the beaches are long and with dark sand ➡️ my favorite kind of beaches! Montañita is a very special place for me! Growing up with a surfer dad we would always come to this beach since it has one of the best waves🏄🏼‍♂️! We stayed in a Hostel called Rosa Mística. If you visit Montañita, I cannot recommend this place enough! You have your own porch with a hammock, the room has hot water and air conditioning plus it includes breakfast with a view! It has been 2 months since I last posted here and man so much has happened! I went home to Ecuador for what I thought it was going to be 3 weeks but ended staying for 6 weeks‼️ My trip was not what I expected there were plenty of high and lows and there are some things I learned from it: * Covid still out there so keep taking care of yourself😷 * There is no greater love than family. * The power of prayer and community is SO powerful✨ * I am lucky enough to have a country where I can always go back and feel at home🇪🇨 * Being an immigrant is not easy your heart is always divided between the country where you were born and the one where you build a life. If you are looking to relax after a day of skiing or if you are like me and don’t ski but still want to explore Colorado, you must visit the 📍Glenwood Springs Hot Springs! If you are staying in the Frisco/Breckenridge area you are only an 1:30 away! Also the drive there has an amazing scenery so you wont get bored🤪!! There are two pools⬇️ There is one that is 90 F which is pretty manageable and you can stay as long as you want. The second one is 104 F and you should not stay longer than 10 minutes to be honest! As I was finally writing my Amalfi Coast travel guide for the blog (it is coming soon I promise) I realized a few things, well I realized two important things⬇️ One, that I feel very inspired to write at many feet above ground (I am currently flying to Colorado). Two, I figured out why my trip to the Amalfi coast was so important to me. This trip was a before and after of a very important season of my life. After this trip I decided to move to NYC to pursue a dream✨ and I finally became really independent since I also moved out of my parents home! I have always said that in this trip I felt so present and couldn’t pin point to a specific reason but now I understand why. It all makes sense, it is not that I have not loved other places I have been but this one was different. Maybe one day when I am transitioning to another season of my life I will feel something similar? The other day I was listening to a song in my car that transported me back to my commutes in NYC from Brooklyn to Manhattan in the J line. It actually made me miss a little that season of my life. I am not going to be retelling everything bad that has happened this year, instead here it is what I have learned from you 2020: * I learned that I feel comfortable on my own and not scared to spend 2 months+ on quarantine all by myself. * I learned that even though I do feel ok on my own, I still want to have a partner in life. * I learned to keep chasing my dreams and just do it! * I learned the importance of family and checking in with them. * I learned to journal. * I learned to be grateful for everything and not take anything for granted. * I learned that I love writing and putting my feelings on paper. * I learned the importance of having savings. * I learned that always following your gut will be the right decision.
