- 🪅✨🌶️The OG Mexican restaurant in London is mestizo_camden 🙌🇲🇽🫔 personally, Sundays buffets are the best as they cater to everyone and you can try a bit of everything. Plus, they change up the dishes every week so you never get bored. This is the second place I recommend to everyone (1st is still my mums cooking haha) 😜 Mestizo has been a huge part of my upbringing as a British-Mexicana :) gracias por invitarme mestizo_camden 🫶 me siento en casita 😘 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mexicanfood #mexicanosenelextranjero #londres | mexicanos en el Reino Unido, spanglish, uk Latinos, London foodie, mexicanos food in the uk, tacos in London, authentic Mexican food, best brunch in London
- I write this with a knot in my throat. Never in my life did I imagine I’d be sitting down for breakfast with the Mexican Ambassador to the UK. As I sat there, a wave of memories of growing up between England and Mexico rushed through me: the faces of my family, their laughter, the smell of my abuelito’s clothes, the warmth of my abuelita’s hands. The longing to see them, the fear of not knowing when we’d reunite, and finally, the heartbreak of eventually not seeing them at all! The only person I could think of in that moment was my mum. She gave my sister and me the most beautiful blend of cultures and kept my dad alive in countless ways. She taught us the richness of our roots, the strength born out of struggle, and wrapped us in the pride she carries for her Mexico. Her home. A true fortress. Through her, we learned unity - the heart of being Mexican. To include everyone, to help where it’s needed, to love deeply and widely❣️ That’s why I create the content I do. I share it with my heart on my sleeve, hoping to bring a piece of home here for anyone who needs it. To soften the ache of missing it. I love my Mexico because I carry my mum’s heart within mine. And for future generations like me - remember, we are 100% both. Learn as much as you can about your roots, and you’ll always find family wherever in the world you are. 🌍🥰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ────୨ৎ──── ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mexicanculture #mexicanosenelextranjero | mexican culture, mexicana, mexican moms, latina creators, Spanglish, Mexicans in the uk, British Mexican, Mexicanos en Londres
