I designed this space with functionality at the forefront, while still incorporating an elevated and mature aesthetic. Since it was created specifically for older teens, it was important to strike the right balance. Offering them a place to relax and unwind, without it feeling childish or overly styled. One of my favorite features? The custom LED-lit white oak niches, perfect for charging a phone, setting down a glass of water, or simply keeping essentials close by. Thoughtful details like these helped make the room feel both practical and polished, and I absolutely loved bringing it all together.

Our firm is often recognized for bold, colorful designs, but this project tells a different story. Here, we explored the beauty of neutrals in a way that feels layered, textural, and elevated. Rather than reading as flat or predictable, the design is full of depth and dimension, created through a thoughtful mix of patterns, materials, and tones.
From soft fluting details to statement mirrors, intricate tilework to curated accents, every choice was made to bring warmth and character without leaning on color. Variations of neutrals create contrast, while textures like natural wood, woven elements, and subtle wallpapers add richness and interest.
This home proves that neutral design isn’t about playing it safe, it’s about balance, intention, and celebrating the details!
