You already know I LOVE training with cables... they’re one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in the gym. But I also get that variety can feel a little overwhelming if you’re not sure where to start.

So let’s keep it simple with one of my favourites: the single-arm cable row 👇

> Kneel with the opposite knee to your working arm up
> Draw your shoulder blade down and back (this switches your lats on!)
> Row your arm towards your waist with a neutral grip

Okay... let’s talk about the glute hyperextension machine 🍑 A lot of people walk past it because it looks a little intimidating, but honestly… it’s one of the BEST ways to target your glutes once you nail the set-up.

Here’s how to use it:
> Adjust the pad so it’s sitting just under your hips (if it’s too high, it won’t feel right)
> Keep your core braced and your back neutral
> Lower down with control, then squeeze through your glutes to lift back up
💡 Focus on driving through your heels, that’s how you really feel it in your glutes, not your lower back!

Choosing movement when you’d rather skip it. Fueling your body with what makes you feel good. Getting enough rest. Showing up even when you have no motivation.
Taking the “easy” option feels good in the moment, but it often makes things harder in the long run.

Skipping workouts makes it tougher to get back into routine. Quick-fix diets lead to frustration when they don’t last. Staying up late makes it harder to get up early.
