![I would often get asked the question of when we are having children or nowadays it’s more “why” don’t you want children. I mean on my wedding day we got some questions as well. Luckily, my husband & I already had this conversation before we got married, as it was a decision neither of us wanted to take lightly (especially if we wanted different things).
When I was younger I always thought I’d be married by 25, with a house, and 2 kids by the time I was 30. But in reality, I got married 2 months before I turned 30 so it was fair to say my life didn’t go to the plans of my 13 year old self.
I didn’t know where or when exactly that switch actually went off, but it did. At first I thought am I going mad? Isn’t this what’s supposed to happen? Isn’t this what I’m supposed to do as a woman? But my teens and 20s didn’t exactly go to plan either. So, I guess you say I was just going with the flow and riding the waves of life.
It wasn’t until I hit my mid 20s where I was questioning everything. I mean even now I question so many things to day (maybe I’m just an inquisitive soul hehe). But the older I’ve gotten the more life and the world has confirmed to me that I’m on the right path & I’m so grateful that both my husband and I are on the same page.
Don’t get me wrong, our families thought we would change our minds as we got older, but now they truly understand that this is the life we want & we are so grateful that they respect us fully.
I want you to know that you can have a million & one reasons to not have children or to have children, to travel the world or to love being at home, to rent or to buy, to live a life however you wish to live it and I want you to know that you are safe here in our little corner of the internet. It’s ok to not be like others, it’s ok to be different or do things your own way. We get 1 shot as this temporary life in this vessel we call our body, so do what your mind, body & spirit yearns for 🤍
And for those of you who are really wanting to know the reason is for me to not want kids, there isn’t 1. It’s a whole mixture of things which I don’t wish to divulge on the internet. But know I’m incredibly happy with this decision 🥹🫶🏽🤍]()

![From the DMs to a full on DMC 🤍 I went to the mall over the weekend & my husband would ask me if I liked anything in the shops we went into & honestly… I’ve never felt so content & confident within myself. I knew I didn’t need any new clothes & I didn’t feel like I was missing out either.
Then I saw so many DMs asking where a dress I was wearing was from in my stories… it really got me thinking about the last few years & some of the internal struggles I’ve had with sharing content online.
I’ve found it hard to keep up. Keep up with trends, vitality, launches, all the different platforms, the other app & just how freaking fast it moves. It’s also why I hardly post over there. There’s not loyalty towards people, things, places etc. it’s just one trend after another. And I guess the loyal Leo in me can’t handle it.
I. Can’t. Keep. Up.
After a lot of soul searching (& something I do regularly) I know it’s ok to live a slow + meaningful life. It’s ok if my normal or my happy doesn’t look like someone else’s. It’s ok to stay in my lane & do what makes me feel good 🥹
If you scroll on my feed you’ll see I wear & use the same stuff again & again & on the rare occasion I’ll whip something out of my wardrobe or intentionally buy something that I know I’m going to wear & love for years & years to come. And this way of life? Well… I’m becoming more & more confident in this path. And I hope you can respect & appreciate where I am coming from 🫶🏽
It’s my goal this year to be more vulnerable & open with you all so I hope this helps you in a small way, shape or form 🤍
