OMG I finally had a Japanese head spa and it was the best thing EVER!!! I had no idea that there was one on Salusbury Road. Directly opposite Queen’s Park tube in the ground floor of Atelier of Beauty. We met Amara who is fully qualified and offers the head spa and massage. She is so incredibly lovely and told us how she makes her treatments suit her individual clients based upon their health and wellbeing. We opted for the Paradise which is 120 minutes of heaven. It starts with a consultation where Amara checks your scalp health and understands more about your needs. The treatment rooms are beautiful and smell amazing! You get to choose your own essential oils for your treatment and then the spa begins…. Focus initially is on the head, face and neck with multiple scalp treatments and massages - total heaven! And then an eye mask over a face mask, you lay back under the sound of a waterfall whilst Amara treats your hair and massages your legs, feet, arms and hands with oils and hot stones. At the end of the treatment she shows you your scalp and there really is a difference. It’s completely cleansed and you feel like falling asleep as you are so relaxed. Amara then blow dries and styles your hair. There are shorter versions of the treatment, but this is perfect for anyone wanting to truly find a way to relax and be pampered!
