We’ve just completed the West Highland Way! 96 miles of hiking through Scotland 🥾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The documentary of which will be out at the end of this month. First though I’m gonna be finishing off the Ireland campervan road trip film, which if all goes to plan will be out this Friday! 🚐🇮🇪 That trip was with Kev from the Midnight Train series. New video is LIVE!! Find out how I survived my first winter in Winnipeg. After the surprise viral hit of the video about me moving to Winnipeg, which gained a lot of media coverage here (as you’ll see in the video), I thought I’d document my first winter here. With temperatures getting down to -40C, when I would do Instagram stories about it I’d have so many friends from home saying “I can’t even imagine what that feels like!!”. So I took my camera out to show you plus captured lots of other fun winter activities such as ice fishing, heading out to the frozen lake, eating at a restaurant on the frozen river and of course going to a Jets game!! Just recently got back from 3 weeks of hiking in Switzerland, which will be a documentary series out in the coming months. Let me give you a little UPDATE with what’s going on with the CHANNEL. As you may know I’ve gone full time with the channel the last few months, but some of the things I’ve been trying HAVEN’T BEEN WORKING. With regards to the channel, I thought by creating extra content (budget videos, itinerary, packing, short getaways etc) would HELP the channel but it’s actually been HURTING it. I knew these videos wouldn’t get the same amount of views as the documentaries, and that isolated by itself I’m absolutely fine with. But the problem is it’s dragging down the rest of the channel with it. The algorithm sees much lower view counts for the more recent videos, so it’s stopped recommending my other videos to people’s feeds. Overall views on the channel are massively down, revenue has HALFED, and with the recent documentary series of New Zealand and Africa, normally they would keep growing, but they’ve completely plateaued. So I’m just gonna focus on putting out the documentaries and hopefully that jump starts the channel again. All the bonus info of budgets and itineraries I’ll put on my website (which I need to update and revamp). So there’s 2 shorter videos left to come out over the next 2 weeks, then the documentary series will start coming out over the summer. So first up, TOMORROW a new video will be out, “I survived my first winter in Winnipeg”. A follow up to my surprise viral hit video about moving to Winnipeg, this is a fun 30 min film about adapting to cold winter life in my new home. But where’s James!? Well, he’s in the Bahamas, and so next week’s video will be “a weekend in the Bahamas” as Jaime and I flew down to visit him back in March. That’ll probably be a 20 film.
