A not-so-basic basic top squeezed out of this small off cut of printed linen. love the stained class window / geometric effect of this print. I used the #closetcorecielo pattern but unfortunately did not have enough fabric to add the bell sleeve detail on the bottoms of the sleeves 😖 I made a slight adjustment to raise the neckline a few cms, but still feel it’s a little droopy on me - making a mental note to adjust to a boat-style neckline next time! The new issue of fibremood is out today and I made the #fibremoodkhloe in this very cool black and white printed cotton. I love the square neckline and clever wrap detail of this dress. This look’s a mix of something old and something new. A new linen shirt finally finished in honor of #memademay ! This one was literally sitting in my UFO pile for about 2 months as I just couldn’t find the right buttons to finish it off.. in the end I just skipped the buttons all together and sewed the placket closed. It’s another great addition to my favourite WFH uniform - an oversized colourful linen shirt and some loose jeans. I’m not really a fan of bog 4 patterns but this one has some nice details with an interesting “grown on” type sleeve shape and I like how the weight of the cuffs balances out the puffiness of the sleeves. Would work great in a fabric with more drape too. I know I already posted a green and pink look this week but I think the combo deserves another post due to being my favorite complimentary color combo.
