Episode 6 of Healthy-ish and we’ve finally made it to dessert, #sponsored by icelandicprovisions and their new delicious recipe for their Wild Blueberry & Bilberry Skyr, which has a brighter, juicier taste making it perfect for this healthy-ish Blueberry Tiramisu 😌

This tiramisu uses lady fingers because I think they truly can’t be replaced, but the #skyrs 15 grams of protein and thick, creamy texture replaces the marscapone base, making it a little more filling but just as delicious. For a single serve fix, I love this 💙

It’s my first 55 degree day of the season so it only felt right for Sticky Toffee Tiramisu!!

This one has taken me a solid three weeks to get the ratios right, making sure it’s not too sweet with the right amount of toffee to make everything soft but not falling apart. It’s a hybrid of my two favorite desserts and I am (obviously) obsessed with it.

The full recipe is on the blog, and idk why but these have me craving Christmas

My latest recipe for nytcooking! Honeynut Pumpkin Muffins with Cornmeal Crumble - and it’s almost as much crumble as muffin because I had to bring my POV to the table here.

When I was in college I learned that 90% of restaurant Brussels sprouts are deep fried. And after working shifts frying sprouts on sprouts, I cant think of them being better any other way. It’s the perfect way to get them soft in the center but *crisp* on the edges. Well cooked, but not overcooked. And in this, a quick mix of honey, smoked paprika, soy sauce and apple cider vin picks up any excess oil and mixes into a pretty phenomenal coating.

While you could do this in the oven, deep frying is a deceptively dry cooking technique (as long as you aren’t dipping it over and over), and it’s quicker than an oven roast. Plus! it will make a showstopper side. No one asks me more about a recipe than these (proof that we all love deep-fried things).

Okay okay she’s in her long caption era, here is the recipe: https://justinesnacks.com/smoky-honey-brussels-sprouts/

Each year that a baked salad *inevitably* shows up on my feed there’s a new condiment that I’m deeply attached to making into a dressing. The first year it was agrodolce, the next year romesco, the third year tahini Caesar, the list goes on. This year it’s a homemade salsa macha, and I! Don’t! Know! Where! I’ve! Been!

Salsa Macha is a pretty phenomenal condiment, made of golden toasted peanuts, fried garlic, and a mix of Mexican chilis. While you can buy this premade, a trip to an international market to pick up a mix of dried chilis will make it a five minute recipe at your fingers (and so so worth it). I use a mix of arbol, morita and New Mexican chilies, which keeps it mild but smoky. The recipe for both the condiment and the salad are on the blog, and I hope you’ll fall in love with it the way I did.

#KitchenAidAmbassador A small pinch-me moment with kitchenaidusa ! I’ve worked with induction for a while, but I loved cooking on their new KitchenAid® 30” Temp Cook™ Induction Cooktop #sponsored

There’s so many things to love about induction - you can set an exact temperature on the cooktop so you can capture as much precision as you need. The Temp Cook™ Smart Presets allow you to easily turn pots into rice cookers, and the boiling speed is fast. PLUS, it’s so easy to clean!! This cooktop is compact but has five cooking “zones” so you can have as much or as little going as you need. I loved it.

A lot of us were on set so I felt like a 20-minute dinner was the only way to go. You can find the recipe in my book, and linked in bio is where to learn more about this cooktop! 2025-09-26 20:29:55 #Kitchen.. 2,081 -84% 42 -71%

Hi hi hi - we created a trip!! After all the interest/DMs about my Chile itinerary, lpjourneys agreed to let me take my Chile itinerary, *perfect it* and make it bookable for you! (except this time it would be high season…so you could add on lagoons…I so badly wish I could have added on lagoons).

Northern Chile was one of the most incredible food cultures and beautiful landscapes I’ve traveled to in years, and I’m so excited to have the chance to share exactly what I saw with you all. Just some highlights are:

• Frying seaside empanadas in Valparaíso
• Taking a tiny boat to Cachagua Island, known as penguin island, to get truly 30 feet away from the penguin colonies (nearly made me pass away)
• Cooking classes with the stellar teams at coteamaye and ephedrarest (tell them I say hi!)
• A pisco class (and pisco sours, of course) deep in the heart of the Elqui Valley
• Foraging your own herbs + sourcing from the farms of the Atacama desert with the owners of ephedrarest
• A biking tour of the salt flats around San Pedro
• Breakfast over the Tatio Geysers, among the highest geysers in the world

But also…so much more I can’t even list because I don’t want to overwhelm you

It’s a seven night trip, bookable through lpjourneys. DM me with any questions because I could yap all day - and screenshot this and you can scan/click the link in your photos:

My Saturday farmers’ market run, a few strategies on how to make the market work for you, and the wanderingbearco new lattes that are my new favorite thing #sponsored

I’m trying not to down two of these lattes a day, I really am, but between the vanilla, mocha and double latte flavors (vanilla is my favorite), their 11 grams of protein and the quality being *chef’s kiss*, I’m down so bad. When I work with brands that aren’t ingredients, I hope you know that the endorsement is huge. It’s usually a product that I can’t get enough of, case in point: Wandering Bear.

As for the market, my big fall strategies are:
 • Go early and caffeinate
• Plan at least one meal in mind before you go (I like to list out ingredients too, but that’s just me) and as soon as you get home, plan the rest from what you have. It gives a little freedom for us to see what looks best.
• Shop small, it’s better to have less than you need than a fennel bulb that goes to waste!
• Clean and store your veg and herbs as soon as you get home - this CHANGED THE GAME for me. I’m much more likely to dip in for a little parsley or spinach if I know it’s already ready to go.

And you can find (and try!) wanderingbearco cold brew lattes at Whole Foods. I’ll post a link to get a free can in my stories! While their lattes are exclusively available at Whole Foods, they have plenty of delicious cold brew on their site - use code JUSTINE and/or tell them I sent you 💚 I love them very much. 2025-09-16 20:30:15 .. 3,541 -72% 78 -47%
