Quick trip to San Diego for C.A.R. Reimagine 2025 🌎

C.A.R. (California Association of REALTORS®) brings agents from all over the state together to learn, grow, and collaborate — and this year hit different. Over the past year, I’ve really pushed myself to get more involved with my REALTOR® association, Bay East, and step into leadership roles again. Back in college, I was always that person involved in student life, orientation, fraternity leadership, and philanthropy work with St. Jude — but stepping into leadership in my adult life, especially in real estate, has been a whole new level of growth.

My favorite session was Selling Beyond Borders, which opened my eyes to helping clients buy internationally — whether that’s a retirement home, a vacation property, or an investment abroad. It’s something I’ve wanted to explore for a while, and now I have the tools and connections to make it part of my business.

Outside of the conference, I got to see my sister who’s a senior at San Diego State. We grabbed happy hour with her and her roommate to celebrate her 21st and just catch up for a few hours — definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip.

Late post but this 48-hour Chicago trip from August still has me reflecting 🧠

In August, I had the honor of attending the National Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network Advance event as the incoming Vice Chair for Bay East YPN.

For those who don’t know, NAR is the national organization that represents real estate professionals across the U.S. YPN, or the Young Professionals Network, helps agents grow through leadership, connection, and collaboration.

This event brought together realtors from across the country to share ideas, build friendships, and learn from one another. It reminded me how powerful it is when we pour into our industry, serve our communities, and keep learning new ways to better support our clients.

Even though it was a quick 48-hour trip, it was one of those experiences that leaves a mark. I landed back home and went straight into open houses feeling inspired and re-energized.

Fun fact: I even renewed my California real estate license on the way to the airport. Four years in, and I’m still growing, still grateful, and still showing up with purpose.

There was a time I thought I’d never make it.
I went through things no child should ever have to. Mentally, physically, and emotionally I carried more than I thought I could. Right before the pandemic I had to testify in court against my abuser in front of a room full of people. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and I spiraled after. I drank heavily and blacked out more nights than I’d like to admit.

This was almost a post I didn’t make. Not because I want pity but because I want someone who feels lost to see this and know you are not alone 💚 you are stronger than you think.

I’m grateful for my story. It shaped me into the man I am today. After years of healing and growth my relationship with both of my parents is better than I ever could have imagined.

I became the first in my family to graduate college. I built a career in real estate, became a top producer, and now I stand on stages teaching others how to grow. Real estate became the vehicle that pushed me to reflect, to heal, and to grow. Because in order to help families, I had to heal myself first.

Almost 3 years ago in Scottsdale I heard a woman share her story of childhood trauma. I broke down because I related. I told my coach itsraquelq it was one of the most powerful talks I’d ever heard. They say you’re one person away from changing your life and I believe it.

I almost didn’t go to that event because of the cost, but I bet on myself and it changed everything. Joining Raquel’s #PlayBiggerMastermind has been the most powerful 2+ years of growth in my life 💚
