![I should not be here. For two days my skull was filling with blood from an epidural hematoma and I refused to go to the hospital. Too stubborn, too hardheaded, too sure I could just grit through it. Most people die in that window. I somehow didn’t.
The whole time I have been clutching Wyatt’s blanket, drowning in how much I miss him. That kind of ache that rips you open and never lets go. And I swear to God he has been here with me. I felt him. My boy was not gone, he was holding me up when I should have fallen.
Life is fragile. I am grateful. I am broken. I am alive. And I know Wyatt never left my side.]()

![This is not about drawing a line in the sand. Everything I do for animals, rescuing trapped and abused dogs, getting police canines out of bad situations, fighting for wolves, exposing cruelty, helping animals get back to the people who love them, none of that is mine to own. The glory is not mine. It belongs to my Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior and the only ticket into heaven. All praise to Him. None of the credit is mine and that truth is what keeps me humble, keeps me with my head down, praying, and following whatever God puts on my heart.
With the recent shootings and the poisonous way people treat one another over opinions, none of this is a joke. I have received real death threats. I had to wear a bulletproof vest this year. Misinformation spreads like wildfire and out of context things can put people in danger. Words are not violence. But when our culture treats words like violence, it makes actual violence more likely.
If you follow me, if you are a friend, if you are a fan, please be careful. Think before you share. Ask for context. Stand for truth but do not feed the machine that turns disagreement into hatred. ![Pray with me. Lord, we come before You with heavy hearts and open hands. Our nation is wounded, divided, and in need of Your mercy. We ask You to look upon us with grace, even when we do not deserve it.
Give us leaders with wisdom, courage, and humility. Strip away pride, greed, and corruption. Replace it with honesty, strength, and a willingness to serve the people rather than themselves.
Protect the innocent, comfort the grieving, and give courage to those who speak truth when the world wants silence. Let justice roll down like mighty waters and let righteousness rise where hatred has taken root.

![Samantha Miller sold a dream. She painted herself as a savior of dogs, a shining light in the rescue world, bragging about how many lives she touched. But the truth was uglier than anyone wanted to believe. Behind closed doors she was not healing dogs, she was beating the piss out of them. That should shake you to your core.
Not every rescue deserves your trust. Not every 501c3 is a beacon of hope. Plenty of these so called rescues are just as guilty as backyard breeders in pumping out suffering, perpetuating overpopulation, and inflicting trauma on the very animals they claim to protect. A nonprofit status is not a halo. A rescue label does not equal virtue.
The pet space is dirty. The dog space especially is built on trust and that trust is exactly what predators exploit. Everyone wants to believe that anyone in this industry has the best intentions, but that blind faith is how abuse hides in plain sight.
