![1. Wear sunscreen. I know you want to be tan. I know you love the smell of tanning oils, the tanning booth, the beach, the sun on your face. But please wear sunscreen. Up to 80% of visible skin aging comes from UV damage, and so much of what you’re seeing now could’ve been prevented with this one habit.

2. Stop piling on so much makeup.
I know you’re trying to cover breakouts, but smothering your skin under layers of foundation, concealer, powder, blush, and highlighter isn’t letting it heal. Overloading products can clog pores and worsen inflammation. Sometimes, less really is more. Let your skin chilllll.

3. Don’t blow your budget on Botox, filler, and lasers before you even take care of your skin at home. They can help, but if you don’t have a solid at home routine, you’re wasting money. A solid routine always comes first: a retinoid, vitamin C, chemical exfoliant, peptides, and always - sunscreen. Build the foundation before the big treatments.

4. Quality over quantity. You don’t need 15 products, gritty scrubs, or astringent pads that burn so you “think they’re working.” You just need a few effective products (you shoulda used Differin instead of Seabreeze!) and you need to actually use them every day. Healthy skin is built over time. “If it doesn’t burn it doesn’t work” was the worst motto you ever had.

5. Start now. Don’t wait and tell yourself, “I’ll fix the damage later.” Prevention is always easier than reversal. The earlier you start protecting your skin, the less you’ll have to correct later.

![When I had my nose job, I had to heal without a cast due to some complications. It was crucial that I slept on my back all night, slightly elevated, without turning over. So I barricaded myself in with pillows, and eventually I trained myself to stay put. I realized I could breathe better on an incline, I’d wake up with less puffiness, and my skin looked better on the side I used to smush into the pillow. Fast-forward 5 years - I still sleep this way, and it’s one of my best beauty tricks.

The sweet spot is about a 20° incline, supporting your upper back and shoulders, not just your head. At this small angle you’re not cutting off blood flow (I get that question all the time) and you’re not putting pressure on your lower back or legs.

The goal is to keep your head, neck, and spine aligned - no chin tuck or neck craning. I like a wedge pillow, but you can also stack 2-3 pillows under your upper body.
