- After I lost most of my baby weight, I still felt uncomfortable and fluffy. And it felt like no matter what I did, I couldn’t lose the weight. But the last 10-15lbs were going to look different than losing the first 40lbs of baby weight. Here’s what I focused on to transform my body from skinny fat to looking lean and toned. 👇🏻 Nutrition 👉🏻Just eating healthy helped me lose a good amount of weight but it wasn’t going to help me build the body I wanted. I shifted my focus on whole Foods, high protein and balanced macros to keep me full, satisfied, and energized. I found some staple meals I loved like these and keep them in my rotation. It's easy and these meals make me feel good. Progressive Overload and structured workouts. 👉🏻 I stopped going to different classes every day or just winging it in the gym. Lifting also helps boost your metabolism and allows me to burn more calories throughout the day. Daily non-negotionables 👉🏻 I set non-negotionables for myself every day. My main focus was on my water intake and steps. I made sure to have at least 2 liters of water/day and gave myself a step target of 10k-12k steps a day. Celebrating the small wins 👉🏻It’s crucial to celebrate the progress and small wins along the way. Motivation is fleeting and if you’re waiting until you reach your end goal to feel excited or proud, it’s going to be really hard to continue showing up. I started to fall in love with the process and the little habits I was doing every day that made me feel good. Those little things create the big changes over time.
