From Hawaii to Tokyo 🌺🗼
Their story began with a proposal in front of Zojoji Temple — a love rooted in two cultures.
The first look in the gentle rain felt straight out of a movie 🎬
And the bride’s graceful hula was simply breathtaking 🌧💃

Over the past year, they planned every detail with love and care — cherishing each step of the journey 💍🤍
With Tokyo Tower shining behind them, another wedding beautifully connected Hawaii and Japan.

Congratulations, Megumi & Justin 🌸🌈

🌿 Even in September, Tokyo lingers in the humid late-summer heat.

💐 For bouquets in this season, I recommend orchids — not in a tropical style, but in a refined way.
🌿 Variegated orchids help soften the sweetness.
🫐 And if blackberries are available, they add a jewel-like presence I truly love.

✨ A bouquet is a deeply personal piece, a reflection of the bride herself.
🤍 Let’s design it together.

Behind the Scenes of a Wedding Designer ✨💍
For our couple from New York 🇺🇸, we created their welcome mirror 🪞.
Because of the venue’s rules, we couldn’t apply the vinyl lettering the day before ⏳.

On the wedding day, we still had to decorate the flowers 💐— and the clock was ticking! ⏰
With no time to spare, we focused all our attention on tracing every single letter perfectly ✍️.

When we finally finished, all the tension left our bodies at once 😮‍💨.
Such a nerve-wracking but unforgettable memory! 💖

Here’s why meeting in person matters ✨

Met my 🇺🇸 lovely couple + venue team today for their 2026 spring wedding 🌸

They enjoyed our virtual tour but...

🍽️ Tasting the menu
🤝 Meeting everyone together

And yes… meeting my couples face-to-face?

In the heart of bustling Asakusa—one of Tokyo’s most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods—the bride and groom, Arisa and Koshi seemed to pause time itself. Their wedding portraits transformed the already breathtaking Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple, into a dreamlike backdrop, emphasizing its iconic crimson hues and intricate textures. ♥️

Senso-ji is more than just a historic landmark. As Tokyo’s oldest temple, it has been a cornerstone of the city's spiritual and cultural life for centuries, playing a vital role in the development of Japanese Buddhism. Today, it remains one of the most visited religious sites in the world, surrounded by the lively energy of local vendors selling traditional crafts, street food, and souvenirs. ⛩️🍱

For those of us who call Tokyo home, Asakusa and Senso-ji are part of our everyday scenery—a place we often pass by without a second thought. But through the artistic eyes of Portuguese photographers, Mariana and Mad, this familiar space is reimagined. Their lens captures a richer, more vibrant side of Senso-ji, revealing layers of beauty and significance that might otherwise go unnoticed. 📸

Thanks to their vision, even we locals find ourselves pausing just a little longer—rediscovering the magic of Senso-ji and seeing it anew with a deeper appreciation for its timeless charm. ✨

The hydrangea season is coming to an end here in Japan 🌿
In our recent flower lesson, we created a wreath with beautiful shades of blue hydrangeas.

Blue arrangements can look wonderfully chic, depending on the color combinations. We added seasonal touches like ripening blackberries turning from green to red, and adorable bilberries with tiny fruits 🍇🫐

Even though it’s still June, it already feels like midsummer in Japan… So we enjoy a bit of visual coolness through flowers 💙❄️#weddinginspiration 2025-06-30 17:59:08 The h.. 31 +3% 0 -100%
Q: Can we have a religious ceremony in Japan? 🤔

A: Yes, you absolutely can — but there are a few important considerations to keep in mind. 🤝🇯🇵

We completely understand how meaningful it is to incorporate your faith into your wedding. Your wedding day is one of the most significant moments in your life, and if your religion plays a central role, it’s only natural that you’d want to reflect that in your ceremony. 💍✨

That said, Japan may not be fully equipped for all types of religious ceremonies due to local regulations, venue restrictions, and a limited number of English-speaking religious officiants. But don’t worry — we’re here to help navigate those challenges. 👍

Here’s our advice:

Start by telling us what matters most to you in your religious ceremony — whether it’s specific rituals, a type of officiant, or certain traditions that must be included. We’ll explore what’s possible and do our best to find a bilingual officiant who can accommodate your needs. If we can’t find a local match, we may recommend bringing someone from your home country. 💕

We’ll also explore venue options that align with your religious ceremony preferences and look into any additional requests you may have. 💒🔔

If it turns out that a full religious ceremony isn’t feasible in Japan for logistical reasons, many couples choose to have their official religious ceremony at home and then come to Japan for a symbolic (non-religious) ceremony and celebration. This way, you still honor your faith and also get to experience the beauty of a Japanese wedding setting. 🌸💗

We’ve also supported many fusion weddings that blend religious or spiritual elements with Japanese cultural traditions. With the right planning and team, we’ll do everything we can to bring your unique vision to life.⛩️✨ 2025-06-30 14:50:13 .. 22 -27% 3 +63%
Why We Love Elopements and Pre-Wedding Photo Sessions 💕

Elopements and pre-wedding photo sessions are some of our favorite moments to capture. They offer a relaxed, intimate atmosphere where you can slow down, be present, and truly enjoy the experience—without the time pressures of a traditional wedding day. With fewer distractions and no tight schedule, there's more room to focus on each shot and create something truly meaningful. 🧘‍♀️

These sessions also allow for greater creativity. With the freedom to explore different locations, poses, and angles, you and your photographer can craft a more personal, artistic visual story. The result? Timeless, editorial-worthy images that feel both iconic and uniquely yours. 📷🌿

Pro Tip: Whether you're planning a micro-wedding or a full celebration, we always recommend scheduling a pre-wedding photo session. It’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, find your best angles, and build a natural rapport with your photographer. Plus, it’s the perfect opportunity to test your hair and makeup look right after your trial—and see how it translates on camera. ✨💛

Who would've thought a single anthurium—also known as the flamingo flower—could express so much elegance? 💗

With its heart-shaped silhouette, sculptural curves, and rich, waxy texture, it’s one of the most inspiring blooms to design with. Its versatility sparks endless creative possibilities. 💝

Anthuriums come in a stunning array of colors—red, pink, purple, orange, and white—making them a perfect match for nearly any wedding palette or theme. 🌈

In Japan, the flower also carries symbolic meaning, representing love passion, happiness, and prosperity, in Feng Shui. So beyond its striking appearance, it brings an added layer of intention and sentiment. 😊

Another added bonus? They're heat-tolerant, making them an ideal choice for weddings in late spring, summer, and early autumn. ☀️

Paired with an engagement or wedding ring and set against a Tatami mat—a traditional Japanese floor covering—it creates a beautiful fusion of cultural depth and modern elegance. Just look at the magic it brings to life. ✨💍

This moment was captured through the artistic lens of Alejandra, one of the incredibly talented photographers I have the pleasure of working with. Her editorial eye and attention to detail make every collaboration a dream. As a florist, it’s such a joy to work with someone who truly sees the beauty in the small things. 📷

Thinking of eloping in Japan?

If you're dreaming of an elopement in Japan, we highly recommend choosing a private venue over a public one. Public locations often require special permits that can be time-consuming and difficult to obtain—making the planning process more stressful than it needs to be. 📝😩

Private venues, on the other hand, offer a seamless and beautiful alternative. Many feature stunning gardens—lush, serene, and absolutely breathtaking. These are the types of gardens you often see in high-end wedding photography: elegant, timeless, and full of cultural charm. Plus, private venues offer a more intimate, personalized experience, allowing you to truly savor the moment. 🌿

One of our absolute favorite venues is Inohana-tei in Yokohama (pictured above). Owned by a close friend of ours, we know every detail of this stunning location—and it never disappoints.
Inohana-tei features exquisite traditional gardens and serves exceptional cuisine that you can enjoy after your ceremony. ✨

What truly sets it apart? Unlike many other venues,Inohana-tei allows you to hold your ceremony right in their beautiful garden—offering a rare and unforgettable setting. Even better, the owner is a professional officiant, so there's no need to worry about finding someone to conduct your ceremony. 💝

If you're thinking about tying the knot in Japan, we’d love to help you plan and design the perfect elopement. Don’t hesitate to reach out—we're here to make it unforgettable! 💚

✨ A rare day off today!
Went on a Mt. Fuji winery tour 🍇🍷

The vineyard staff’s passion for growing grapes was truly inspiring—
they even hand-pick beetles to protect the vines 🪲🌱
It’s real natural winemaking.

Tasting was led by the owner herself, Aimee-san 🥂
Each wine is crafted with a unique, local touch.

Best part?
They offer pick-up and drop-off to the station 🚗
So you can enjoy the wine without worry!

The food was also amazing 🍽️
We couldn’t see Mt. Fuji this time… but maybe next time! 🗻

Oh—and weddings with up to 40 guests are possible here too 💍✨

[Designer’s Tip: Ume Mizuhiki Knot] ✨

Are you searching for the ideal wedding favors that will leave a lasting impression and serve as sentimental keepsakes for your guests? Look no further than the ume mizuhiki knot. 🎁💍

So, what exactly is an ume mizuhiki knot, and why is it the perfect choice for your wedding favors? 💝

The ume mizuhiki knot is intricately crafted from mizuhiki cord, shaped into a stunning plum blossom. Plum blossoms hold significant cultural importance in Japan for several reasons:

1. Symbol of Resilience: These beautiful blossoms bloom in late winter and early spring, thriving in challenging conditions, which represents strength and perseverance. ❄️ → 🌸

2. Good Fortune & New Beginnings: Plum blossoms signify the arrival of spring and are associated with good fortune, making them a wonderful symbol for a new chapter in life. 🍀☺️

3. Cultural Celebrations: The Ume Matsuri, or Plum Blossom Festival, is widely celebrated across Japan, honoring the beauty and significance of these blossoms. 🎐 🍶

Incorporating the ume mizuhiki knot to tie your guests' wedding favors is a thoughtful way to wish them well as they leave your celebration, sending them off with blessings of happiness and good fortune. 💖✨

【Designer’s Tip: Origami Tsuru 】

Origami tsuru, or paper cranes, are a meaningful Japanese tradition that symbolize peace, good fortune, longevity, and prosperity.✨

Known for their lifelong partnerships, cranes are a popular decoration at weddings, representing a beautiful start to a couple's journey together. 💕

Incorporating 1,000 cranes is believed to grant a special wish, adding a unique and heartfelt touch to your celebration while honoring a rich cultural heritage. 🇯🇵

To elevate your wedding, consider these creative ideas for incorporating origami tsuru: 🤍🕊️

1. Ceremony Decor: Enhance wedding ceremony decor by hanging origami cranes from the ceiling or in trees for a captivating visual effect. Place them along the aisle or on the altar for an elegant touch, or use them instead of rose petals for a meaningful and beautiful aisle accent.

2. Centerpieces: Use cranes as part of your table centerpieces. You can place them among flowers, candles, or other decorative elements.

 3. Guest Favors: Gift guests mini origami cranes as a keepsake to commemorate your special day. You can attach a note explaining the symbolism.

4. Backdrops: Create a backdrop for your photo booth or the main stage using strings of cranes, creating a beautiful and unique setting for photos.

5. Table Settings: Include a crane at each place setting as part of the decor, possibly with a personalized note or message.
