They’ve run empowerment campaigns, partnered with women’s charities, and even platformed survivors’ rights activists in their ‘Show Your(s)e.l.f.’ series. Matt Rife is the comedian who opened his Netflix special with a domestic violence joke about a woman with a black eye implying she ‘wouldn’t have it if she could cook. As well as making several other derogatory comments about women’s body and how his comedy isn’t for women. He describes this as ‘dark comedy’. People can like dark comedy. People can find it funny. That’s fine. This isn’t about “banning joke”. It’s about brand alignment.
