- I’ve LOVED spinach since childhood and this korean banchan is why!!! This recipe makes for the perfect side dish for 2 people and is easily customizable to your taste. It also lasts in the fridge for up to 4 days and is best served chilled! TIP: This dish is traditionally made with regular spinach, NOT baby spinach. However, I’ve tested both and to me, it’s fine to use either. Baby spinach is MUCH easier to find in the store and may be more accessible so I based this recipe around that! TIP: When deciding on your portion, a good rule of thumb is one bag or box of spinach will serve one person! Measurements (for 2 people): — 2 bags or boxes of spinach — 2-3 tsp sesame oil — 2-3 tsp soy sauce — 2-4 cloves of minced garlic — chopped green onions to taste — sesame seeds to taste — gochugaru (korean red chili flakes) to taste — pinch of salt #koreanrecipe #koreanfood #banchan #spinach #easyrecipes
- Korean silken tofu is a A TRUE 5-minute recipe!! It’s super delicious, beginner friendly and perfectly low effort. TIP: I personally think it tastes way better warm than chilled, but you CAN eat it straight out of the tofu packet! INGREDIENTS & MEASUREMENTS 1 tbsp soy sauce Splash of sesame oil 2 garlic cloves, minced or grated 1 tbsp green onions 1-2 tsp chili crunch Sesame seeds to taste Serve with rice to make it more of a complete meal :) #easyrecipes #koreanfood #cheapmeals #koreancooking #lunchideas #vegetarian #cookwithme #tofu
- another easy DELICIOUS korean banchan recipe!! This one is called kongnamul muchim, or korean soybean sprouts! You’ll find these often served at authentic korean restaurants as a free side dish and they are SO satisfying to make at home! Plus, they’re super healthy and nutritious with lots of fiber! TIP: You can find these at any asian grocery store. If you’re not going to cook with them asap, store them in the fridge in cold water and they’ll stay fresh for MUCH longer! TIP: To save time, you can skip the “pruning” step where you snap off the stringy roots. For me, though, I’ve always seen it as the korean equivalent of folding laundry while watching tv lmao MEASUREMENTS (serves 2-4 people): — 1.5 tbsp sesame oil — 2-3 cloves minced garlic (1 tbsp) — 2-3 chopped green onions — 1 tbsp gochugaru (OPTIONAL) — 3/4 tsp salt — sesame seeds to taste #koreanrecipe #koreanfood #banchan #beansprouts #easyrecipes #fiber
