I have been styling men for 21 years now? It’s such an important part of my childhood, and my resume as I grew up in menswear. 99.9% of the time, I am your style trainer for men. Getting you elevated and updated. But every once in a while a man just like Pavlos will come along who really enjoy’s fashion! Shout out to Pavlos. He loves Style. He understands what he wants to achieve and pretty much gave me the goal to impress him. Mission Possible💥 We came up with looks for him and his girlfriend to appreciate. We shopped his own closet then Restyled/Remixed it. Every single human is Energy- Frequency, and Vibration! - not a body type! Some of the energy I was able to share with Pavlos was much different in ways I don’t always get to stretch out to. In the 90 minutes we were together, it was a burst of styling - one that we ended up collaborating on this “fit. Fun to put a tank top on top of a short sleeve fitted collared shirt with a tie. Then Pavlos made it his own, and texted me how he chose to wear it! It’s the sweater over your shoulder era. Preppy handbook has returned! This was taken over 4 years ago. I🤗when clients FEEL IT! Nothing could make me more proud when I ask you? Did you style this? And the answer is “YES” Sometimes a client will say “No you did!”which also means you are wearing and becoming the guidance you reached out for. In this case and I do mean case, I knew Lisa styled all on her own. Soooo not easy to nail it! Incredible day today thegentlebarn who taught me the greeting “Happy Thanksliving” The work they do to enlighten the connection that all life matters - if you have never seen a genetically modified cow - well here are a few -and they are the lucky ones. It’s not natural for them to be this tall and big. They really are “grass puppies “ who want love - just like the turkeys and the chickens - just like us!💡 If you want to know why I 💖 my boyfriend so much! In over 15 years I have never heard him be so looking forward to seeing the Turkeys and holding one. His heart is so gentle for all beings - ok maybe not as much for humans.🤣because of the treatment of animals.🥲 I learned so much from thegentlebarn today and you know what most of the guests today had some serous style. Vegans do DO it better or vegetarians.🤗 Next we went to crossroadskitchen for a 4 course entirely vegan meal that was incredible - when you see the slides - that is not steak - that is a lions mane mushroom. We got the only vegan server Kacy - besides the chef ( in their LA location) and again the style of the customers -Amazing! While being vegan isn’t a trend - the ones that are seem to be expressing not only their choices for animals, their health , and the planet but their expression stylistically and it was so inspiring, if I wasn’t sitting with cows - I would have brought it for my dinner fit! I am so deeply humbled to be a product of 3 generations of fashion and style. I have to fill in the accurate details as there are tailors and dress manufacturers and menswear reps - and my father who owned a menswear store. I used to say that I began my career in fashion and styling at the age of ten but it really is in the womb. I am so proud of my first start though at my father’s menswear store where I did actually begin working at 10 years old. I got to watch my mother and father take 3 - 4 suits and show men and their wives all the underpinnings of shirts and ties and pocket squares - really the styling of a few suits to many! That’s styling - how can you wear the same suit but Restyle it. I am celebrating 20 years of styling and using what I saw at 10 to optimize both men and women, non binary and Trans. Funny enough even though I grew up in menswear which is all the credibility needed - men are the ones who ask to see examples of other men. It does make me smile as men from my experience as a modeling agent for over 8 years as non models are not inclined naturally to shoot effortlessly. And my sessions are remote, fast paced and messy with clothing everywhere. They are not photo shoots but my boyfriend the most improved photographer who wants all the credit for my Birthday 🎂 Road trip photos! Small Space -Big Dreams. More Topanga Vibes in the cutest enchanted tiny cabin! Tatyana our airbnb super host had me at Fairy lights and sanitized sheets. We are seeing the return of the coordinated set. Meaning the styling has been done for you. These are both two pieces I bought again at my favorite consignment store - super vintage vibes but not vintage at all. Also not a set. The western inspo menswear shirt from Mother jeans is actually a men’s size small. Again not being a size queen in consignment - just try it on. The chili pepper super vintage inspired circle skirt is Anthropologie’s line -Maeve. Why am I not tagging or hash tagging either line? Because I don’t want to insult them - that I got the skirt for $20 and the top was a little more costly for consignment- but no where near the cost of even on sale. My wrap up sandals are Doen - another costly line but not costly to me - brand new on consignment. My Native American inspired or rather Mexican vibes belt bag from a local fair in Hermosa Beach. I fit right in Topanga Canyon - which I honestly could live here - it really is so my vibe. All the stores so beautifully curated but OMG expensive! Styling is not only having the eye 👁️ but knowing what clothing can look like styled without spending the prices. Both the skirt and the top have resale because of their brand value. You either cycle it through your consignment store or you keep it forever! Cuz I know a Nashville trip is on my horizon I am already ready. What’s the biggest tip to consignment shopping- where even the owner of my consignment store -said to me “you have to have an eye” one she felt after 31 years she no longer had. Her girls she has hired - know what’s up! So what’s the tips? Don’t be afraid to buy out of your size as I did. It’s more interesting oversized with my little cropped sweater and my barrel pants. Scan the racks and don’t look too hard! The right pieces will jump out at you. Create a story with colors and textures that are similar. You aren’t pushing yourself-you are stretching yourself. Paso Pool Vibes I bought this hat over 2 years ago at my favorite local consignment store. Same with my consignment jacquesmariemage and these were a massive investment. HAPPY SECOND HAND SEPTEMBER That time I was at the Venice Film Festival with my BFF lieslcopland who had a film in the festival. Everything I am wearing here someone else owned before me.
