![✨ Gluten Free Cachapas & Empanadas in London ✨
I finally made it to papelond , and it was such a treat! This Venezuelan street food spot is serving up so many delicious gluten free options — packed with flavour, fresh, and really satisfying. The empanadas in particular were incredible: perfectly crispy on the outside and full of flavour on the inside. The cachapas (corn pancakes with cheese) were also amazing — proper comfort food.
The best part is that almost the entire menu is gluten free (just avoid the tequeños), so you can order with confidence and actually enjoy trying lots of different things.

![✨Gluten Free Porridge at Morridge, Birmingham✨
We’ve officially entered porridge season 🙏 🍂 and I managed to quickly pop by morridgeoatsandcoffee , and independent cafe in Birmingham that just happens to have loads of GF options!
All the porridges were gluten free (apart form one with a topping that can be switched out) and they have loads more on the lunch menu too. Very cute vibe in there, would love to go again, and it’s like 5 minutes from Birmingham New Street Station so super easy to get to!
My goal for next year is to get out of London on gluten free day trips, so let me know if there is a special place I need to visit (with reasonably priced train tickets 😂)

Last weekend I went back to purezza - but not for Pizza! They have recently opened The Cheese Cellar, and all the dishes on the cheese menu are gluten free (including that incredible sourdough).

It’s been such an intense couple of weeks, so I figured a little treat was well overdue 🍩💖
I stopped by the Selfridges spot for a browse and couldn’t believe they had both the brand new yumyums and the sweetheart bun in stock. The sweetheart bun especially made me so happy - it’s exactly the kind of doughnut every New Zealand bakery has, and you KNOW it was always my pick as a kid. It’s truly baffling that these are both GF & plant-based!
Anyway… I loved them both and I will be getting them again 🥰

LOVE THIS SPOT. Shout out to James (husband) who was wandering past one day and saw all the gluten free signs and sent me a picture👏
Buna Ethiopian is almost entirely gluten free, only a few of the kids/breakfast menu items contain gluten but can also be made without. As for the Ethiopian food, that’s ALL gluten free, including the Injera which is made with 100% teff flour.
The food - delicious, the people - amazing. Love it!

theporthouselondon on the Strand is such a good spot for pre-theatre meals. Mum, James & I were seeing the ‘Just For One Day’ Musical last week, so wanted to book somewhere close by.
This is the first time I’ve been to the Port House in 7 years - the first time I came was for my welcome lunch at my old, old, old job across the road. At the time I was new to my diagnosis and very anxious to eat out, and I didn’t take in how safe it actually was. Definitely going to be returning a lot sooner than 7 years 😂
