I know that fluted details are trending right now, but I’m absolutely obsessed with them. So much so, I designed our console table that my dad made for us with fluted doors ✨

Welcome in…

We definitely spend the most amount of time in our kitchen/diner. Which is exactly why we added the peninsula - to give us more sociable seating ✨

But it also gave us integrated bins, an integrated microwave and most importantly a wine fridge!

A few subtle changes like hanging an oversized pendant, building a bespoke radiator cover, swapping the sink and changing the handles all made a huge difference to the look of the kitchen and turned it from new build to more bespoke without spending a fortune

If you’d like to know where anything is from, then drop me a note down in the comments ⤵️ 2025-09-19 16:04:45 Welcome in… We.. 2 -95% 0 -100%

Quick ways to make your home look less expensive…

As spicy as the last one and sorry for swearing again. But I just feel so passionate about these. If you have these, it’s nothing personal.

1. Themed Rooms (kids only)
2. Black Grout
3. Artwork hung too high
4. Same size cushions on a bed
5. Massive corner sofas

Massive corner sofas definitely have their place. But unfortunately I see them too often crammed into rooms that are far too small and there is no space left for anything else

Hi, I’m Becca, an interior designer that loves sophisticated, timeless yet lived in interiors

So whilst we’re on the topic of homeware - what do you really not like? 2025-09-16 21:44:54 Quick ways to mak.. 12 -70% 0 -100%

1. Swap out lightweight summer throws for chunky knits or wool blankets

2. Deep clean rugs and give them a good vacuum or refresh before more time is spent indoors

3. Re-style your coffee table or sideboard - layer in books, candles and more rustic textures

4. Swap out the summer foliage for autumnal stems

5. Check your lighting - warmer bulbs (2700k) are super cosy for the ‘ber’ months

6. If you have a log burner, start ordering your logs now (they always run out just when you need them)

7. Treat yourself to a couple of new candles or diffusers. Think oud, spicy or woody notes (shameless plug - but we have a beautiful scent of candle and diffuser)

8. Add a new door mat inside your front/back door for muddy shoes and wet paws

9. Do a mini kitchen side declutter - pack away everything that just ended up there during the summer holidays

10. Refresh your bedding, and if you fancy a change, now is the time for brushed cotton over crisp linens

11. Steam your curtains. Now is when you’re going to start closing them early and you want them to look their best

12. Revisit your dining table set up. Now is the time for layering placemats, napkins and maybe even a seasonal centrepiece for cosy dinners

September is always a great reset month 👏🏻 you’re back into a routine, the season is shifting and it’s the perfect excuse to get your home Autumn ready…

…without a single pumpkin cushion in sight 🤪😉

Welcome in…

Our bedroom is actually one of my favourite rooms in our home and definitely feels the most finished ✨ if any room in the home of an interior designer actually does ever feel finished…

We blocked up our box room and knocked through from the bedroom to create a walk in wardrobe. Turning our 4 bed new build into a 3 bed with walk in wardrobe was the best decision we ever made

his one’s a little spicy…

Sorry for swearing. But I really feel passionate about these. If you have these in your home, I’m not coming at you.

1. Matching Furniture Sets
2. Rugs that are too small
3. Chrome sensor bins
4. Tiny Scatter Cushions
5. Glass coffee tables
6. Bold feature walls

Ok so I don’t hate glass coffee tables. But unless you are going to clean them 200 times a day, they will always have sticky fingers prints on them

Who’s with me?

Yes I’m house proud and all for a home that looks like it’s not lived in, but that’s the problem, we do live in them.

Should we follow trends? No. But do we want to sometimes? Yes. And if we really love them, then why not?!

As an Interior Designer, I feel even more pressure for my own home to be perfect, look perfect, feel perfect. To be one that stands out clear from trends, with perfectly chopped cushions 100% of the time. But that just isn’t going to happen.

I’m mummy to a three year old and have a black Labrador. Let’s not even get started on the husband. 😉 So if you’d like a lovely home, but a liveable one too, then come and say hello because I’d love for us to normalise lived in homes. 2025-09-09 22:29:16 Who’.. 0 -100% 0 -100%
Let me explain…artwork isn’t an after thought.

It shouldn’t just be put up to fill a wall. It should either mean something to you, or it should work perfectly with the room design.

I get it, generic high street prints are cheap, trending and a quick fix. But unless they work with your design, then trust me it’s better not to put “The definition of Carpe Diem” or “Live Love Laugh” onto your walls.

This is exactly why I’ve launched a collection with the wonderful artist Isobel Alexander - a range of prints that we’ve collaborated on, that will do everything BUT cheapen your room design.

Confessions of a decor shopaholic...

Because we need this “stuff” don’t we? Vases, cushions, bowls, accessories, candles, picture frames, flowers…are all the little things that make a home feel more homely. Lived in. Yours.

Would you believe me if I actually worried I didn’t have enough stuff to film this reel?! Or maybe that’s just my homeware shopaholic mind tricking me into thinking we need more homeware. Don’t we?! 🤣

I think it’s really hard as an interior designer not to get carried away with purchasing “stuff” for home. Because I’m constantly sourcing beautiful pieces for my clients homes.

What would be your ‘couldn’t live without’ homeware item? Mine is definitely cushions 🫶🏻 2025-09-09 22:19:48 .. 2 -95% 0 -100%
