Here’s a look back over celebrations from 2025 back to 2013!! Seeing last year made me shiver thinking back to those days in the rental whilst the major works were happening here at the house! 2018 will go down in history as one of the most fun-the poor only managed to get up for 5 minutes that next day and 2014 was fun at the US Ambassadors with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Ford and Ellie Goulding being just a few of the nights celebrity spots! ![Curiosity got the better of me and I bought a louisvuitton Lipstick. I must admit I was tempted by the reds but I got a neutral, shade 104, in the hope that it was really wearable and I’d use it all the time to get my moneys worth.
My thoughts? The price point is obscene. There’s no need for a lipstick to be so expensive. You can absolutely find a similar colour and texture for a fraction of the price.
The lipstick itself is gorgeous. I can’t fault it. Really smooth and hydrating. The packaging is beautiful and the online shopping experience was fantastic so as a makeup lover for over 30 years I found the whole process really quite exciting. Bravo patmcgrathreal I knew the formula would be exquisite.

![Summer ‘25
With Bo back at school today it had me reflecting on the summer. A wonderful, hectic, exhausting 6 weeks of juggling. There have been some epic highs-boat day and BBQ night being two of my Mallorca faves, and some crappy lows-Bear struggling his first night at camp and me breaking my phone being a few of my ‘troughs’ BUT overall, admits the chaos, it’s been great! ![It was only as I sobbed into the bolognese I was making this afternoon that I realised I was making the same bolognaise this exact time 14 years ago for the 15 or so of us gathered at my parents house as mum deteriorated upstairs. She’d been mobile and chatty the last few days but this day she only woke very briefly from her morphine induced slumber. We quietly knew that we were possibly only hours away from her slipping away. I had said to my Aunty that afternoon ‘I think we’re in for a long night’ and I was right. We all kept vigil by her bed, too scared to go to sleep in case we missed it. Although mum died on the 27th, it was at 3am and we’d been up all day so each year weirdly it’s today, the 26th, that’s the hardest as I relive hour by hour that last day until the moment she took her final breath. I begged her not to leave me as I lay on the bed next to her. A selfish thing to say in the moment possibly and I’d forgotten I’d said it until my cousin reminded me a few years ago, I guess it just came out. We’d had the hardest conversation a few days earlier when i’d first reached home and gone to her bedside when she looked me in the eyes and asked permission to go. She said she was tired and in too much pain and through the tears I said ‘Of course Mumma, rest now, go.’ even though every fibre of my being didn’t want her to. It was Simon who said to her in her last hour ‘Dee you fought the good fight, you finished the race, go now and be with your Father in heaven’ which is where she believed with her whole heart that she was going.
I’ll never get over losing her and having to do life without her or the agony that was watching her die but I’ll eternally be grateful for her and all she taught me and for being lucky enough to have been hers and to have known and experienced her enormous, unwavering love.
To those of you who know this pain, whether it’s your parent, partner, sibling or friend, I’m so sorry and I see you, it’s the worst.

![ad | Not me thinking about being back home while I’m on holiday 😅 I filmed this ‘day in the life’ before I left and wanted to share! I do love the holidays, but I always find myself running from pillar to post trying to keep everyone entertained.
One thing that always cheers me up—just like here on holiday—is doing my skincare and makeup. It’s my me-time and my self-care ritual, and as you can see, there are plenty of beauty touch points throughout my day.
✨ First thing when I wake up: cleanse, yepoda Mist Have, SPF, and out the door.
✨ Back home after the first activity: shower, skincare, and makeup before heading out for lunch.
✨Quick makeup touch-up before a power hour at the pub with a friend (we’re getting good at these!!).
✨And finally, my evening cleansing ritual—which always helps me feel more like myself during the summer holiday weeks of catering to everyone else’s needs ❤️
Note: When I was filming this I met my friend ajswann at the pub, who told me my skin was looking really good, and I was like, “oh thanks, I’m not wearing any base makeup today.” It was only when I was editing this video that I remembered I’d touched up with my yepoda Dewy Day compact foundation! 🤦♀️😂 I immediately sent her a screenshot of the edit and apologised for lying—it wasn’t me au naturel at all, it was my Dewy Day foundation 🤣🫣
