![One of the best part of this unforgettable trip was observing Chandrakala preparing Masala tea in her colorful and poetic home.
In the end I was so moved by her grace, love and shy but intense smile, that I asked her if I could fix these emotions and memory in a photo. It was simple and magic at the same time: the light coming from above where there was a little skylight emphasized that magic atmosphere.
In fact her name, Chandrakala has a magic significate :

Known as “the gardener of fashion”, Ken Scott was a masterful creator of fabrics, mapping out flowers with romanticism and multiplying them as he transformed them into something that stood out and reflected his eclectic personality.
He was so many things: a gifted painter, an experimental restaurateur, an ingenious textile artist, and one of the most brilliant design savants of the twentieth century.

![“The old ironing room”
Her name was Margherita, a sweet and elegant old lady, the queen of our laundry room.
I remember I was escaping from my room and my homeworks, climbing that candid,white, huge table (or maybe i was so little that it seemed enormous) and lay huddled among the fresh bedclothes.
For many minutes I was observing her, fascinated by her secure movements, made of traditions and experience.
The washing machine was working non stop and I remember the sound of it was kind of therapeutic, like a relaxing music.
Sometimes I fell asleep and suddenly wake up when the “music” of the wash machine was finished.
Every time I see a place like this, I smell the perfume of a laundry room, see an iron or hear a wash machine, all these memories come back to my heart.
I smile, I feel alive, and for a moment I am still dreaming, on that white table, under the protection of Margherita again .
