Paris absolutely loves all the activities I take her for — and I’d really encourage you to try them with your little ones too. I believe your children would enjoy them just as much. 💛

If you’re looking for children’s activities in your area, here are some ways to find them:

1️⃣ Health visitors – If you’ve just had a baby and are still seeing your health visitor regularly, ask them about local activities. You can also phone them up! My health visitor once gave me a pamphlet with a long list of baby and toddler sessions at libraries and community centres — such a helpful starting point.

2️⃣ Facebook – Here in the UK, communities use Facebook a lot to share information. Check if your local area has a page or group, because many mums and organisers post baby and toddler activities there. It’s one of the easiest ways to stay updated.

3️⃣ Eventbrite – A great place to explore for kids’ activities. You’ll find both free and paid events there — just have a browse and see what works for you.

4️⃣ Happity.co.uk – You can enter your location and you’ll see a list of children’s activities nearby. I have not used this personally but maybe you might find it helpful 🤗

✨ A quick note on messy play: these sessions are often paid because they use lots of edible or sensory-safe items like Rice Krispies, Cocoa Pops, cornflour, cocoa powder, and water. Since children throw things around and often put them in their mouths, organisers need safe materials — and those don’t come cheap. But honestly, the fun and learning experience makes it so worth it.

Save this post for later, and share it with another mum who might find it useful. 🤎

What my little girl ate the other day ☺️

Right we are in our beans era, Paris is loving it so much.

Beans are a really great food for toddlers because they pack a lot of nutrition in one little portion. I particularly love it because it’s rich in fiber and this helps with healthy digestion and prevents constipation (a common toddler issue).

A little portion also goes a long way and makes them full faster.

Now that I’m older, with a child of my own, I see my parents in such a different light. They’ve always been caregivers, but at the heart of it, they also deserve to laugh, play, and have fun — just like anyone else.

They’ve been such a huge support while staying with me here, and I wanted to give them a day that was all about them. So, I took them on a fun arcade date 🎮✨ and honestly, they had the best time! My mum kept saying, “Ope, this is the most fun I’ve had in a long time… this is so nice, I loved it.”

That moment touched me deeply. It reminded me how important it is to create sweet memories with our parents — memories filled with joy, amusement, and laughter. 💕

So here’s your reminder: treat your parents too. Take them somewhere fun. Create that core memory. 🌸 2025-09-20 17:10:06 .. 0 -100% 40 +75%
One-pot recipes are seriously a lifesaver when it comes to toddler meals 🙌🏽 No unnecessary frying, no juggling different pots and pans — just everything in one pot, simple and done!

This recipe is so versatile — I switch up the protein depending on what I have. Some days it’s chicken, other times sardines, or even turkey shavings. The method stays the same, I just vary the protein.

Most times, I make it with fresh chicken stock because it’s not only super nutritious but also very tasty on its own. That’s why I don’t go heavy on extra seasoning — the stock is already packed with flavor and well-seasoned.

Our current fave is this one-pot pasta.

💬 Do you make one-pot meals for your toddler too? Share your favourite recipe — I’d love to try new ideas! 2025-09-18 23:16:40 .. 101 +48% 30 +31%

When it comes to yogurt, I don’t compromise on quality for my toddler 💕 That’s one of the reasons yogurt was part of our pancake and fruit breakfast this morning.

She absolutely loves it, and I make sure to give her the best because yogurt is packed with goodness for little ones – from calcium for strong bones and teeth, to protein for growth, probiotics for a happy tummy, and vitamins that support healthy development.

So even on days when she’s not eating “serious” meals, I feel good knowing she’s still getting some of the most important nutrients her growing body needs with yogurt.

The new Little Yeos Oat Pots are made with organic real fruit and no added sugar – perfect for little tummies at home or on the go. Although… I’ll admit I had two pots myself with my grown tummy 😅💛

Mamas, is your toddler a huge fan of yogurt too, or are they in the “don’t want to see it” stage? 😅

Off to a good start this week on our microscooters Rock & Go 🛴✨

This is currently Paris’ little obsession and we’re loving every moment of it. I especially love it in this gorgeous colour 💜 (but there are other colours too — you can check them out on the website!).

Also, can we talk about Scottish weather? ☀️ It looks sunny in these photos, but trust me — it was still pretty chilly 🥶

Cooking is honestly one of the best ways to bond with your little one 🥰. Toddlers always want to be where we are — and as mums, a huge chunk of our time is spent in the kitchen preparing meals.

Instead of them just tugging at you or disturbing you, why not get them involved? The truth is… they never actually follow instructions 😅. As you’ll see in this video, it’s about 20% following instructions and 80% pure chaos 🙈.

But still, this is one of Paris’s absolute favorite things to do. Anytime she spots her toddler chair from goodevas in the kitchen, she climbs right up and wants to copy whatever I’m doing. It’s messy, it’s funny, but it’s also such a sweet way to spend time together ❤️.

✨Tell me in the comment section, your favorite way to bond with your little one?

Same people, same spot, different seasons of life. 🌿

Time really does fly — growth is the only constant. ✨ From those tiny baby days till now, I’m just grateful for every moment. Watching my mom care for my little one then, and seeing them bond now, is something I’ll treasure forever. ❤️

That’s why keeping memories matters so much — photos, videos, the little snapshots of life. Looking back makes you realize just how far time has carried us, and it’s the most beautiful (and emotional) reminder of love and growth.

To all the mums out there: keep taking those pictures, keep recording those moments. One day, you’ll look back and see just how priceless they truly are. 📸💭 2025-09-06 13:52:05 .. 0 -100% 17 -26%

When I realized my toddler had gone up two shoe sizes in less than six months, I thought it was so strange I had to look into it. 🤯 That’s when I learned that yes — toddlers can also go through growth spurts (not just babies!).

A growth spurt in a 2-year-old usually means their body is lengthening, bones are growing, their brain is wiring new connections for new skills, and their appetite increases to fuel all that growth. 🌱

Here are some of the signs I’ve noticed with my little one:

✨ Increased appetite – suddenly asking for extra snacks and finishing meals faster.
😴 More sleep – she’s sleeping well into the morning some days.
😩 Clinginess & mood changes – needing extra hugs and a little more fussy at times.
🌱 New skills appearing – out of nowhere, she’s picking up new words and abilities.
⚡ Extra energy – her energy level has really gone up and I just wonder where it all came from.

Sometimes it shows physically too, like suddenly outgrowing clothes or noticing their height and weight go up quicker than expected.

👉 If your toddler is showing these signs, they might just be going through a growth spurt too — which is actually a good thing because it means they’re developing right on track.

Are you experiencing any of these with your toddler right now?

It’s Paris’ big “no” for me when I asked her to share one 🤭

House of Cinn’s new mini twin pack is now in sainsburys meal deal 🤎 And the best part? 65% of profits go towards supporting people experiencing homelessness. Sweetness that gives back 🤗

French toast is popularly enjoyed as a sweet breakfast or even a dessert, but I’ve given it a savoury twist to make it an awesome toddler meal. 💛

Hi mamas 👋🏽, sometimes it’s the simplest swaps that make a big difference. Instead of the usual sugary version, I made a savoury French toast that’s wholesome, protein-packed, and toddler-friendly.

✨ Why I love this combo:
🥚 Eggs → protein + healthy fats for growth
🐟 Salmon → omega-3s for brain development
🍶 Yogurt → calcium + probiotics for strong bones and gut health
🍞 Bread → healthy carbs for energy

Would you try a savoury version of French toast for your little one?

Paris sometimes struggles with constipation – especially because she’s not a fan of drinking water 🙈. So when I noticed this happening more often, I started making this super simple recipe, and it really helps every time.

All you need is prunes and yoghurt – just blend them together until smooth. You can serve it in a bowl, in a cup, or even in a bottle like I did. It’s quick and so effective.

I prefer this to buying store bought prune yoghurt.

Prunes are naturally rich in fibre and sorbitol, which help get things moving, while yoghurt is full of probiotics that keep the gut happy and healthy 🥄✨.

Has your toddler experienced constipation before? What’s your go-to quick fix for it?

It’s another hair day… and honestly, I’m already tired just thinking about it. 😅

Who else was like me — thinking doing your little one’s hair would be so easy and cute — only to find out it’s actually a full day job?

When I made dolls hair growing up, I didn’t need to bribe them to sit still 😅

For me, all those hair clips, fancy rubbers, or packing styles aren’t the issue because they’re not pretty — they just never last. Two, three, four days later and it’s all scattered, and I’m not ready to start another drama again so soon.

Maybe when she’s older and will actually sit still, I’ll give them another try. But for now, we’re sticking to cornrows. Yes, it takes forever to do, but at least I know I’ve bought myself 2–3 weeks of peace.

Mamas, what’s your go-to for your girls — quick ponytails or cornrows that last long? 2025-08-11 00:19:14 .. 103 +51% 44 +92%
Normally, I have to lock the kitchen when I’m cooking because Paris will not let me be 😅. She always wants to “help” — but I never had the right tool for it.

Now with goodevas KitchenHelper, she’s right beside me, watching, stirring, and cooking with me. At this rate, she’ll be making breakfast for all of us in no time.

Today’s recipe? Paris’s simple breakfast oats 🥣✨ — pour milk in the pot, add oats, cook for a few minutes, then top with bananas 🍌. Done!

Would you taste one of Paris’s recipes? 😅 Let me know and I’ll send you our address 😂

We went back to our favourite toddler fringe show – Monski Mouse Baby Cabaret 🎭🎭💛

It’s such a sweet mix of live music, nursery rhymes, sensory fun, and interactive moments for little ones to join in. A nice way to introduce toddlers to live theatre.

The venue was also a plus — the outdoor area felt like a mini playground, with space for little ones to run around and explore after the show.

If you’re looking for something simple and engaging to do with your little one during the Fringe, it’s definitely worth checking out!
