![Some friendships are hard to define… clients who became friends, or friends who became clients. I’m not sure what came first but what I do know… is that my sweet friend Rebekah is a force of nature.
When she was walking through her battle with breast cancer, she saved her very last chemo companion spot for me. She said she knew it would be fun no matter what, because I’d roll in with stories, snacks, and maybe a little sass. And that day, we laughed through the tears, zipped a baggie over her port, and even told a grouchy man that if she could smile through chemo, he could too.
Rebekah showed me what unquestionable faith really looks like. Watching her face cancer with grace and an unshakable faith in God changed me forever. Unknowingly she inspired me to grow in my own faith with God.
Today, on her birthday, I celebrate not just her life, but the joy, laughter, and light she brings to everyone lucky enough to know her. Happiest birthday, Rebekah.
