The millennial fiancial situation is pretty fucked. Out of my graduating class, and it’s been like 15 years, I would say only like 40-50 people have bought a house (out of a thousand graduates). This means two things:

There will be no market crash. With how many people still need to buy a house, I can’t imagine prices going down.

Two - if you still don’t own one, you’re kind of fucked. 

All I can tell you is to make 100k, then marry someone else who makes at least 100k. That is the ONLY way to do it in this day and age.

No I dont think Casalena is the best restaurant on Ventura blvd, my videographer kevosalinas just comes up with clickbait titles sometimes and I forget to change them. 

But - it’s one of the few NICE ones that are open for lunch that continues throughout the afternoon - most other places open after 5. They emphasize mediterranean-inspired dishes with a good tapas-style menu for sharing. It’s upscale but still has a casual vibe to it. This helps because alot of places on the Blvd just seem too posh for a quick drink or bite out. 

I do recommend the place. I just need to figure out why I don’t like rich people… I guess I feel like most of them just didn’t work hard enough for it. 

Overall, I recommend Casalena actually, because it’s one of the less pretentious places.

God I love this place. There’s something in Sylmar for every homebuyer. Whether it’s a starter condo, a terrible townhouse (jk), or a ranch where you can start a cult, Sylmar’s got it. It even has Rancho Cascades if you want to live in Sylmar, but feel like you’re too good to say that you actually live in Sylmar. 

The prices are still affordable by Valley standards, and they just added a Target - to be followed by In-N-Out! This is partially due to it being surrounded by 3 major freeways, deeming it ripe for appreciation like one of those hipster Northeast LA cities (highland park). 

It traces its roots to the founding of the San Fernando Mission where olive production followed, particularly sylvan olives. Before the Spaniards came in the 1770’s indigenous people roamed the area. There were once 150,000 Shoshones here. By the 1920’s, however, just over 10 percent remained. 

 Some people might know Sylmar for its many disasters: In 1971, there was the Sylmar Earthquake; four months later, there was the worst tunnel explosion in California history; in the year 2000 there was a mid-air plane collision, and in 2008 the Sayre wildfire, but we won’t get into that just yet . . . 

Housing rare collectibles that include mechanical musical instruments, antique furniture and over 250 American and European autos dating from 1898 to 1997, the Nethercutt Museum has something for everyone.

The Pioneer Cemetery was alleged to have been the location of the cemetery scene in the classic horror film Night of the Living Dead, but the film’s art director said it was actually in an olive grove in a Sylmar resident’s backyard.

Overall, I love Sylmar.

Don’t bullshit me - you haven’t. I’ve also been coming here since I was a kid. It used to be a wonderful place. This is city-owned, which makes sense because it’s so cheap. I haven’t had a good time here in a while for reasons that are mostly my fault. I think I’ll just stay home and play golf on a computer screen for the safety of my own house.

Leo’s Vegan Superfoods is the definition of a local business. We must nourish these at all costs. It’s got endearing branding with a lion. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference - sometimes the vegan stuff tastes better to be honest. I feel like that conservative dad who finds out his son is gay, but then comes around and finds out that in the same way all humans are equal, so too can vegan food.
