![I just watched the Two Embers in Sky: Children of the Light and my heart feels full and honestly, it left me speechless 😭
It’s such a wholesome and emotional experience and the way they told this story through animation was so heartfelt and beautifully done. Every little detail just pulls you in and makes you FEEL ✨ They really nailed it with the animation, the storytelling is heartfelt (I’ve been sobbing nonstop) and the experience overall is just pure magic 💫
If you haven’t tried it yet, Sky just opened a cinema where you can watch Two Embers with other players. So grab some popcorn, wrap up in your emotional blanky and bring a few friends along for one of the coziest, most wholesome gaming sessions ever 🧸

it’s basically a mobile sized e-ink device that runs on android 😌 it’s very identical to the boox palma 1 but with subtle upgrades. it’s faster than it’s predecessor and runs android 13 (vs android 11 on the original) and now now has a fingerprint scanner so you don’t have to keep on entering your passcode all the time. still the same size, but feels more refined this time around 🤤

![Tales of the Shire First Impressions 🌱
Things that I liked ❤️
• the vibes!! the art style is pretty. everything is so whimsy and cottagecore.
• the map is really well put and thought through, like everything just flows.
• fishing is easy. I liked it! it’s simple, which I’m happy about (not like fantasy life ehem). farming is simple too.
• cooking is pretty fun and rewarding! I found myself yaying when I got a 3 star meal from cooking a dish right.
• decorating is seamless. you can just pick items in your house and move them anywhere.
• pantry storage space up to 500 yay!!
• you can save anytime. no need to wait till nighttime and sleep in your bed to save your progress.
Thing that I didn’t like 💔
• NPCs are shallow. you cannot even talk to them outside of quests. you will only improve your relationship with them if you do quests/errands for them OR host a shared meal.
• I HATED navigating. they added birds that fly on posts in front of you to tell you which way to go, and although you can tell they wanted something seamless that fit the whole aesthetic of the game, they failed imo. it’s so bad, especially when you’re at a crossroad or you’re in the village square. it’s so easy to get lost throughout the whole map, and for a fetch quest game (meaning countless traveling between point A to B), this was such a frustrating experience for me. I had to open the map every 5 seconds to see which way to go. at some point I had to quit the game because I got so annoyed with it. I ended up more stressed than relaxed.
• no mini map, so again, I have to keep opening the map all the time.
•I wish they optimized this for Switch/2. I was so excited to try it on my Switch 2 but it doesn’t look as nice as playing on PC.
• the hobbit home makes me feel claustrophobic? it’s too small and tight for me, and it makes me not wanna be inside and cook meals.
Final thoughts 💭
It’s NOT that bad, but it’ also not that great for me. I do really REALLY like the vibes tho, it’s cozy and charming. maybe my feelings will change as I spend more time on it? we’ll see.

can we get a cozy farming game with infinite storage and no stamina system please? I know there’s Luma Island, but can we get more? 😂 there’s Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma but it’s not entirely farming since it’s an action RPG meets village management, and there’s also Traveller’s Rest but that’s also not just about farming but a cozy tavern management game. I love farming games tho!! But sometimes I just wanna chill and not worry about passing out during the middle of the day when I run out of stamina, or having to drop items when my backpack is full 😌
