🚨It appears the entire family has a sweet tooth‼️🍫 We fed Moet before leaving the house. But Moet managed to chew open a pyrex container of chocolate chips, off the table! She managed to consume almost 2 cups - highly poisonous for dogs… 🚨She showed no symptoms, but I called emergency vet immediately. They advised to call the Poison Control Line to start an account, which I did immediately. 📞 +18557647661($89) At the vet: • She appeared fine, but inducing vomiting with an injection - about 20 seconds it all came up. • Her heart rate was monitored (Huge risk of heart attacks.) • She was given an antiemetic to stop further vomiting. • Then a large dose of charcoal liquid to absorb the toxins. They recommended to keep her in overnight, but since we live close by & I felt confident to check her heart rate, I took her home. 🙏🏻 Thankfully she is 💯fine (despite everything & a sleepless night!). The only long term damage is to our bank account. ($808) But worth every penny🧡🐾 🐾I dont usually leave out containers, but after long flights and jetlag… I was very shocked she would open the container.. ⚠️Lesson learnt: safe containers, are not always dog proof.
